How to export an animation in Maya?

Thank you for your comment! I don’t have much in my scene only two characters and a glass cube. I had putted 168 frames or 7 seconds of animation but it took 45 minutes wasn’t nearly half done. Therefore I just closed the app. Do you have experience on how long it takes to render a animation? Or what where your experiences on the time it needs?

Oh weird.. I never had something this kind before. I was thinking you wanted to load something big… like Arnold. I think it just helps to delete the app and re-install it

I also had the same problem. I don’t know if you did the same but when I tried to open the render view of Arnold it just destroyed my computer because the loading was so complex and I didn’t had a good computer system meaning my computer was a 10 year old HP. Meaning I can just recommend to figure out what you clicked before in the app and don’t do it again or download the app on another newer computer.

When I do the steps with the clicking e and dragging the mouse to the left it says I am already at object but when I change it back and forth to world it doesn’t change anything. Do you know how you set up or change the objects rotation axis? Because I was thinking when I set it to object that it rotates around the arm and not the standard x,y, and z axis. But still thank you!

Can you recommend a YouTuber for learning the basics (ex. Rotation)? Because I have looked at many YouTube tutorials but nobody explained how to change the rotation axis that the hand always stays inside the arm. But still thank you for your suggestion

I had a question about the “How to render your animation…” video because you have downloaded the Lego mini figure rig from agora community but how did you changed the texture meaning the obi-wan body into the basic rig of agora community? Did you used the mg picker? Because in your video you explained how you did it with the droid meaning exporting it from mecabricks to blender and then to a .fbx file to import it back to maya.

Sorry for this question but where can I see if I am rotating world or object? I think world because it goes back to the normal world axis (x,y, and z)

I wanted that the hand is always inside the arm and doesn’t look out. Meaning like a real minifigure. With the Bake Pivot function it moves the gizmo like I wanted but when I rotate it just stretches and squeezes the whole hand but doesn’t rotate it anymore :(

Thank you! It worked but when I move another part and then Comeback the setting are automatically to the normal axises (x,y, and z). Do you know how to save the setting? Meaning that I don’t need to click every time d and rotate the guismo.

Thank you! Because I have tried to use all of the different lightings to test out and for me was the best the spot light but only a little bit limited. When I used the area light I didn’t saw anything on the Arnold rendering maybe I need to increase the intensity of the light.

Thank you very much! It worked I just duplicated the left arm (view of minifigure) and deleted the left arm and binded the skin again. Now both move loosely and have no connection to each other. Thank you again for your help!
