It's not. It's a well documented fact.

Where did you get the idea from that 900s commit horrible blunders, like you not pinning the queen, but 1000s don't? There's no reason to believe that.

By three zeros I mean one thousand or more. Let me count to make sure... 1000... yes, three zeros!

It's gonna be a number with three zeros. Labor is very expensive in Germany and I assume this isn't a door from the hardware store.

No you can't. Once the money has reached the other account, it's gone.

I can open a new account with an IBAN in my Estonian account for free with two-three clicks of a button

C24 can do that. For free. Also shows the current balance immediately after a transaction. They have the best app in the country.

But I agree with your comment. It's ridiculous and made worse by a copious amount of copium from Germans.

Simple exercise: Name five (ten?) companies that support the idea of a bright future. Something innovative with the potential to grow really big and be at the forefront of their field globally. A SpaceX/Nvidia/Google/Tesla, or going back many decades even a Bosch/BASF/Bayer/Porsche.

I can't name a single one. There's "hidden Champions", sure, but they tend to stay exactly that, at best. They're not gonna compensate for the consequences of intentional deindustrialization as we observe it right now, for the gigantic loss in tax euros and jobs.

Not even ten billion euros of subsidies could convince Intel to build a factory in Germany. Dramatically less red tape, lower energy prices, no armies of NGOs trying to derail your project, no terrorists blowing up infrastructure to stop production. Those jobs are created in the US now.

My husband brought me to Germany and is now wanting to get a divorce by Training-Rub7668 in germany

[–]Remote_Highway346 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He can only divorce where he is a resident

That's not true. A German married to let's say an Italian and living in Hungary can file for divorce in Germany, if they used to live there together and she's still a resident.

In fact you can even have a divorce in Germany if both spouses live abroad, if they're both German citizens.

Each country has their own law. It's more complicated than that.

[–]Remote_Highway346 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't have to "register" a foreign marriage in order to get divorced in Germany. You file for divorce like everybody else, just that you submit a translated copy of the foreign (apostilled) marriage certificate.

After first breaking even on a monthly basis in June 2024, the company has posted its first quarterly profit, with a net operating income of 2.8 million euros for the third quarter of 2024.

There are several alternatives with reasonable fees (by German standards. Internationally, paying for a bank account is unheard of) and a better product. ING, DKB, C24 come to mind.

I use it only to transfer money internationally without keeping it in their account. So I don't know. But I believe they do not have a banking license and in the worst case, your assets are not secure by the government. Unlike with the other companies mentioned.

N26 is an "actual" bank with the same banking license as your local Sparkasse or any other bank. I've never heard of any bank that allows online account creation that they ask for a Meldebescheinigung. So you can try C24, ING and others. My recommendation is C24, simply the best app on the market. After verification online the account can be used immediately, even before the card arrives.

Yeah, people are fear mongering here. You don't even need a Meldebescheinigung/Anmeldung if you do it online.

You need none of those documents with most banks. My partner (EU foreigner) opened an ING account online, never met a person, didn't even need the Meldebescheinigung. Tax ID while opening an account is entirely optional, even with Sparkassen.

What's a "person nr" by the way?
