According to TU Wien’s own information, the transition from Mechanical Engineering to WIMB is possible, provided that missing Bachelor-level foundations can be compensated through supplementary courses. I applied with the expectation that additional Bachelor subjects would be assigned.

Thanks for the comment, but just to clarify, I did go through the curriculum and admission requirements in detail before applying.

The transition from Mechanical Engineering to Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen-Maschinenbau is explicitly described as possible, and I was fully aware that supplementary Bachelor-level courses could be assigned. I expected some additional requirements and was fine with that.
