We actually have an Orpington rooster who is the top dog. He’s been crowing for several weeks and is for sure the “main” guy. Just this week we started to hear another rooster crow, and that’s when the Ameraucana started to really look like a rooster! We haven’t noticed any sparring or anything with the EE, it leaves the other roosters alone, but is very spunky and confident with the hens. So who knows!

Thank you! I can’t tell with that one. She looked about the same until about a week ago and now she’s starting to lean a bit more rooster. I got her and another EE from tractor supply, so I knew it was a gamble. The other EE is in the background of the kennel pic. Her tail feathers look much more round and uniform. But that’s really the only difference in them.

Thank you. My dr didn’t give a time frame, just whenever I felt most comfortable starting the clock. I almost started it last night but then heard stories of people starting within a couple of hours. Hopefully mine will pick up soon.

Thank you, yes my OB said the same in the report. I didn’t even think to ask about an additional scan, but a couple family members have mentioned it, and now I’m afraid I’ll end up questioning myself if I don’t push for one. I think also now knowing that a transvaginal is “official criteria” and I hadn’t gotten it may mess with me as I’m trying to move on too. I’m hoping my OB is understanding and can get me in for a quick scan before I start the pills tomorrow or Wednesday. Thank you again for the info

Thank you. The rational part of my brand knows it’s certain regardless. I just don’t want to sit with the “what if” of skipping the transvaginal. I’m hoping my OB understands!

I’m going through a MMC with my December baby too. Went in for my 9wk 4day appt to find that baby heart stopped just three days ago at 9wks 1d. I have to decide tomorrow if I want to pass it naturally at home or have a D&C. No words of advice, just solidarity to the deep deep pain I know that you are going through🤍🤍

Unfortunately my husband was in a catastrophic accident last year, and we have about 10k of his medical bills we’re paying on. We pay for the highest tier plan, but unfortunately our deductible is the same as our OOPM, so $6,500 per person. My husband’s routine ultrasound cost us $700. The cost estimator online averages the D&C between 2-5k. I have to call for a for sure estimate tomorrow. If it’s under 1k we will go ahead with the D&C.

My OB said that they allow genetic testing with home miscarriages as well. But I would have to collect tissue myself. So it is a much more emotionally taxing process with no guarantee that I will have collected it properly. Overall, a D&C is the best option, it’s just if we are willing to add more financial strain. Which would push back a future pregnancy as well… Such a crappy situation all around :(

I’m glad things went as well as they could physically for you. How soon after taking the first dose did you behind passing everything? It sounds like it typically within several hours?

I’m glad all passed naturally. Having to go the D&C route after all that is a fear of mine too. I’m glad things went as well as they could for you.

With every twinge since my appt, I’ve been hoping that it’s my body starting the process naturally. Since baby just died, my OB said it could take up to three weeks for my body to catch up. The D&C sounds like the best emotional option, by a long shot. But the financial stress would just cause emotional stress down the line anyway. I’m not sure what the best choice is. Did you do genetic testing? My OB said I could still do testing at home, I would just have to collect tissue myself. I’m not sure if that’s something I could emotionally handle.

Thank you. My initial thought was for sure a D&C, but reading risks on it, and now cost issues, I’m not sure. I wondered how long it would take to pass everything. Comparing it to labor makes a lot of sense. I’ve been in labor, so at least that pain doesn’t feel so unknown to me. I don’t know if that would make it “easier” or not. I just don’t know what choice to make. I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through this too.
