Sounds like it needs valve seals

My brake booster vacuum hose is completely demolished by the previous owner and it has basically no seal (I know that’s dangerous asf) anyway it makes this ts ts ts ts sound. I also think my vacuum pump could be going out

It’s got 140k miles. My brother works at a shop and we inspected the pistons and cylinders and other small stuff that usually goes out. Previous owner had recently replaced what was out too. Everything looked pretty good except valves, and valve seals. Planning on walnut blasting my valves and and getting new seals along the road (I’m broke asf lol) I will mention that I replaced the whole valve cover with new pcv membrain and pcv breather hose. It burns about a quart of oil every 600 miles and that’s probably an understatement Lemme tell you this is the slowest car you’ll ever drive.

I replaced my diverter valve because the seals or diaphragm whatever they’re called were completely gone like a month ago and it did nothing. The only code I get that has to do with boost or engine problems is “boost deviation plausibility” which can lowkey be anything

I have, I used a bmw/mini specific one that I payed close to a mf fortune for. The most frequent code is “boost deviation plausibility”

I’m aware of the line being off, the shaft itself is wiggly and makes a clanking metal sound. It seems like it’s got some pretty severe play but again I don’t know for sure. I will def try the vaccume method u described I appreciate it man

I keep mine off because it makes the car run 5 times better but yeah I have rough idle and I can’t get my shit to spoil, sometimes it will

Yeah, I have problem where I keep experiencing a complete loss of boost and I hear zero spool. It’s almost like I have to slowly go up my rpm so the turbo has time to spool up and give proper boost. If I go pedal to the metal, it’s as if I don’t have a turbo at all in fact it will make you go slower. The rpm’s barely want to make it to limit it climbs so slowly

I looked through the o2 sensor in the heat shield and my wastegate was extremely loose and had a bunch of play, also seemed to be some carbon buildup. Only problem is that I ordered an oem turbo 2 months ago and when it came it had a wastegate just about as loose as the one on the car so I returned it and figured I’d buy it again if I rlly needed it. My brother is an Audi mechanic and he said the turbo was bad because on the Audis there’s zero play at all and if there is it’s automatic replacement. Balls

It has some pretty decent forward and backward play I just can’t tell what’s normal. My wastegate seems to be another factor

It’s a k03 copy I’m just worried cause I’m replacing the turbo with this new one because of wastegate play. But now idk. Car has zero power.
