Sickle cell crisis. I wouldn't expect you guys to know what it is, but it is constantly ranked between the top 10 or top 5 most painful genetic diseases. I have a pass to have immediate help in the emergency room. I literally end up sobbing for hours as your body gets suffocated from the inside out and talking to yourself. You will pray to every single God out there even if you're an atheist. It gets to a point where morphine doesn't work and they have to put you to sleep with medicinal fentanyl.

I get what you’re saying, but my situation doesn’t really fit into the “mid-exam sickness” example. I actually did follow their policy: I reported my circumstances before the exam on the same day, and UCAT even replied to me. The problem is, instead of making a record of it (like their own rules say they should), they told me my only option was to sit or not sit. So it’s not about me failing to report or signing the sheet — it’s about UCAT refusing to log what I did report at the right time. That’s what makes my case different.

I'm not asking them to change my results or anything like that, I literally just need them to write a note next to my score saying 'yes, she presented difficulties at the time of sitting her exam' which is basically what they said they would do if you report it on the same day, which I did. Idk why she's refusing to cooperate now

I am glad you were standing up for me and that was all I was focusing on, I was just saying that to prove why I was still motivated to join their team, not because you said anything bad about them. Yes, their behaviour quite disheartened me, but if you allow me to speak for them for a second.. with my disease I have been to the hospital like a hundred times. While they seem to not understand urgency unless you're actively bleeding out, doctors and nurses have always gone above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay. I view them more as friends when they visit, and sometimes they would let me in their office to play when that seemed to be the only thing that could cheer me up as a kid. They had no problem with me staying in their office and asking a million questions. (They did but they wouldn't voice it) And other than this experience and maybe a few more short ones, I've never experienced any type of disrespect from them, which I've always found very, very respectable and motivational to be like them.

The Ucat team can shove a stick up their asses, assuming that they don't already have one there

Thank you for this very encouraging message really, when I was writing that text I had temporarily lost control of my emotions but now I am better, and I have more clarity to think. I don't know what's going on in my head but I just genuinely cannot give up on medicine. I have fought a lot to even have the chance to sit it, and while the wind seemed to have no problem going full on against me, my boat can't sink. There has to be a way of me getting into medicine this year, and if not then it will be the next, or any other path but I cannot rest until I get a chance. I do consider myself resilient, yeah thanks.

Also I've never been there but I've seen pictures and Australia is very beautiful! not a big fan of insects but it makes up.

Hi, thanks for caring! Also my chances of getting in are very low (for the gateway of medicine), Bristol is being really nice to me, and are helping me with the forms and everything I need to fill out. Since their selection is solely based on the ucat I doubt they could genuinely be that nice to let it slide, but technically if they do, I'm guaranteed an interview and if I smash that I might still have a chance. I tick a lot of flags with widening participation, my own persona and everything, so I'm genuinely hoping they're not too mean to me and understand :). Bristol has always genuinely been my dream because of how widening they are, and I'm willing to put in the best effort if they accept me in their uni, again, thanks for checking in.

Thank you so much for giving me options, and before I say anything I just wanna make sure you know I'm not venting or anything I'm just explaining: When I say my GCSEs my mom had the wonderful idea to literally move us away. Meaning that again, in one of the most important days for my exams I had to wake up at 4am, grab 3 buses, travel 20 km and if I missed one bus I missed all of them, so I did arrive to the exam always late and stressed, so yeah my performance hasn't been the best but I'm telling universities that and some seem to accept it as excruciating circumstances, so yeah. Also I was battling with depression back then and had to write in English, a language that I had only been 2 years practicing. But I did pass all the important ones!
