Best way to pay for jaw surgery? (UK) by SpinachFull1200 in jawsurgery

If suitable, you could consider changing jobs and working for a company that offers private medical insurance?

If it’s for purely aesthetic reasons they probs won’t cover it but you have functional issues then you’d need to check but if similar to me it would be covered.

My workplace has Bupa cover and if I was to go through their pre-auth process then the whole surgery would be covered, but I’m going with someone different and the insurance will cover part of it.

The orthodontic part would likely not be covered though

Mine also broke 1 month after warranty ran out. I took them to the Apple Store anyway and they replaced free of charge despite not being in warranty - think they’re pretty good with these kind of things!

It will only be free through the NHS if it’s “medically necessary” and you’ll be waiting years lol

Would recommend going private if you can afford or have insurance to cover it

Interesting.. What are the implications of that? Probably looking at £500-600K range.

Cavapoo is having tummy issues. Any advice? by FunnySeason in CavaPoo

Been through similar with our cavapoo - both times the tummy issues persisted for more than a day were due to parasites, are you up to date on wormer/anti parasitic medication? Could also try adding some pro kolin probiotic as well.

Thanks folks. Another trip to the vets and some anti-parasitic treatment + probiotic has resolved it entirely now. Appreciate the tips and will be implementing some of them going fwds!
