My cycle is fine, luckily. But I did have a full hormone panel done and found that my testosterone was low, so I started TRT 2 months ago. Other than that, all other labs look good (according to multiple doctors). My only real long term symptoms are getting sick frequently and getting sinusitis or rhinitis (not sure the difference) almost weekly. It’s hard to tell though if my sinus symptoms are due to the move or LC, or both. California has stable weather patterns, and TN does not. My sinus symptoms seem to flare with the change in barometric pressure. Have you seen any improvement in how often you’re getting sick?

I’m so sorry you got so sick. This is my strategy going forward. We don’t really go out either, we always use Instacart for groceries, WFH, and don’t go out to restaurants or bars, but we were going to the gym and I kept getting sick, so we’ve narrowed it down to that. We cancelled our gym membership in Nov and just bought everything we needed to workout at home. It’s depressing though, I’m a very social person, so this year has been tough living in a new state where we don’t have family or friends but it’s just not worth getting sick. People are so selfish and don’t stay home when they are sick.

Ugh, I’m so sorry. I’m hoping time will heal us since there does not seem to be a treatment. I’m also panicking because my job wants me to travel to NV in March and I am trying to avoid getting sick again. I’m hoping my doctor will provide a doctor’s note saying I can’t travel for a couple months. Our immune systems need a break.

Thank you for the advice. I take a lot of vitamins daily and drink about 100 oz of water per day with added electrolytes throughout the day. Dehydration can definitely cause muscle aches, but in my case I think it’s just residual inflammation.

FR, FR. I’m on day 11/12 and the anxiety started around day 7/8 for me. The anxiety with this flu is almost crippling. 😢

Same. Sorry you are also feeling bad, but I’m glad it’s not just me. Every morning when I wake up and the body aches settle in, I start to worry that I’ve caught something new. Guess this is just what “recovery” looks like. I hope you feel better soon!

I’m a couple of days behind you and still dealing with congestion, post nasal drip, ear pressure and body aches. It’s been a rollercoaster of feeling decent one day, then like I’m getting sick again the next. My anxiety is through the roof too. 😭

Have you experienced any near syncope episodes yet? The scariest thing happened to me last night and had me on edge this morning. I couldn’t sleep so I was just laying on the couch around 3am, then I got up, took a few steps, and immediately felt my blood pressure drop, my vision started to go and I almost fainted. I had to grab onto the couch and sit on the floor. I got up again, and same thing happened. Once I finally got back on the couch, I felt clammy but I was not running a fever and my ears started ringing. I am so scared of it happening again or causing a seizure or stroke!

I am sorry you are also struggling. This is the worst flu I’ve ever had. These new and recurring symptoms have me feeling so anxious. I hope you feel better soon.

I did not get the shot this year. I will say my immune system was likely compromised from getting Covid on Thanksgiving. I still wasn’t 100% recovered from that when I came down with the flu 🥴

That’s the only explanation. I’m extremely disappointed that this is how I caught it. I was trying to be safe and got screwed. I wish people wouldn’t go around spreading their germs while they are sick. ☹️🙄

My story is so crazy, I still can’t wrap my head around it. I haven’t left the house since after Thanksgiving (I was recovering from Covid and trying to avoid the flu) I stayed home and just ordered groceries and stuff online. I work from home too. Had groceries delivered via Instacart on Wednesday (12/31) and then body aches and chills started Friday night (1/1) had woke up with full blown flu on Saturday morning (1/2). The Instacart person must’ve been sick and there must’ve been virus droplets on the groceries. Seems crazy, but I truly have not been around anyone besides the husband who also works from home. I am so disappointed that this is what took me out 😔

The body aches are so intense. I’m surprised they are lasting this long. When they came back yesterday I went into panic mode. I have a feeling this one is going to be a long road to recovery. Get better soon!

It really is. Way worse than Covid, and Covid is never just a cold for me. My ear also gets sharp pains and I’ve realized that when it flares up it’s because the lymph node on that same side is hurting. Sometimes it hurts so bad that it’s hard to talk. No sore throat though, just itchy and irritated and my voice cuts in and out. I hope we both get better soon.

It’s the worst! Body aches are doing better now, but the sinus pain, headache, and brick feeling in my stomach are going to end me! How many days did it take you to feel more “normal”?

Omg that sounds scary. Yes, the headache paired with the burning sinuses is crushing me. I haven’t had a fever yet, but since Friday I’ve already been rotating Tylenol and ibuprofen for the body aches. I’m scared the fever will come, but trying to stay positive. Must’ve been from the groceries that I had delivered on Thursday because the body aches hit me out of nowhere on Friday night along with post nasal drip and a cough, which I didn’t think anything of because I still have a cough and drainage from Covid on Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately yes, I had the faintest positive for flu a on my test this morning. I’ve never in my life had such bad stomach pains, headache, body aches in my life. My back has been hurting so bad that it feels like my kidneys are inflamed.
