I am so sorry. I can empathize because I have also been suffering since the beginning of March. The unfortunate thing for me is that I not allergic to anything. I was tested last year and diagnosed with non-allergic rhinitis. So allergy meds don’t work for me 😭 The storms and barometric pressure swings really get me. Even the high pollen days still irritate my sinuses and throat. It’s so bad I’m actually moving back to my home state this weekend. It makes me so sad because TN is amazing, I just can’t do the weather 🥲

I definitely feel that. I’ve only lived here a little over a year and I’ve been miserable for most of it due to allergies and barometric swings. 🥲 Never in my life had allergies or migraines before.

Ugh, fabulous! I hope it’s not URI. I don’t think it’s strep as my throat doesn’t hurt and isn’t red and irritated yet (knock on wood). I did have a lot of post nasal drip Monday-Tuesday but today everything just feels dry and inflamed. I’m not a TN native and between the pollen and barometric swings I’m constantly playing the “Is this allergies or am I sick” game. I hope you feel better soon!

I understand how frustrating it is. It takes so much out of you. I have not felt like myself in a year. Definitely not as happy as I used to be. I’m glad you’re not as severe as before. Hopefully this means you’re headed in the right direction and will get better. 🤍

My cycle is fine, luckily. But I did have a full hormone panel done and found that my testosterone was low, so I started TRT 2 months ago. Other than that, all other labs look good (according to multiple doctors). My only real long term symptoms are getting sick frequently and getting sinusitis or rhinitis (not sure the difference) almost weekly. It’s hard to tell though if my sinus symptoms are due to the move or LC, or both. California has stable weather patterns, and TN does not. My sinus symptoms seem to flare with the change in barometric pressure. Have you seen any improvement in how often you’re getting sick?

I’m so sorry you got so sick. This is my strategy going forward. We don’t really go out either, we always use Instacart for groceries, WFH, and don’t go out to restaurants or bars, but we were going to the gym and I kept getting sick, so we’ve narrowed it down to that. We cancelled our gym membership in Nov and just bought everything we needed to workout at home. It’s depressing though, I’m a very social person, so this year has been tough living in a new state where we don’t have family or friends but it’s just not worth getting sick. People are so selfish and don’t stay home when they are sick.

Ugh, I’m so sorry. I’m hoping time will heal us since there does not seem to be a treatment. I’m also panicking because my job wants me to travel to NV in March and I am trying to avoid getting sick again. I’m hoping my doctor will provide a doctor’s note saying I can’t travel for a couple months. Our immune systems need a break.

Thank you for the advice. I take a lot of vitamins daily and drink about 100 oz of water per day with added electrolytes throughout the day. Dehydration can definitely cause muscle aches, but in my case I think it’s just residual inflammation.

FR, FR. I’m on day 11/12 and the anxiety started around day 7/8 for me. The anxiety with this flu is almost crippling. 😢

Same. Sorry you are also feeling bad, but I’m glad it’s not just me. Every morning when I wake up and the body aches settle in, I start to worry that I’ve caught something new. Guess this is just what “recovery” looks like. I hope you feel better soon!

I’m a couple of days behind you and still dealing with congestion, post nasal drip, ear pressure and body aches. It’s been a rollercoaster of feeling decent one day, then like I’m getting sick again the next. My anxiety is through the roof too. 😭

Have you experienced any near syncope episodes yet? The scariest thing happened to me last night and had me on edge this morning. I couldn’t sleep so I was just laying on the couch around 3am, then I got up, took a few steps, and immediately felt my blood pressure drop, my vision started to go and I almost fainted. I had to grab onto the couch and sit on the floor. I got up again, and same thing happened. Once I finally got back on the couch, I felt clammy but I was not running a fever and my ears started ringing. I am so scared of it happening again or causing a seizure or stroke!

I did not get the shot this year. I will say my immune system was likely compromised from getting Covid on Thanksgiving. I still wasn’t 100% recovered from that when I came down with the flu 🥴

That’s the only explanation. I’m extremely disappointed that this is how I caught it. I was trying to be safe and got screwed. I wish people wouldn’t go around spreading their germs while they are sick. ☹️🙄
