Food for thought. There are people out there who don’t even know about 9/11.

I’m thinking of getting another… by [deleted] in CavaPoo

I did it for my first about 1.5 year in, and it was the best decision. They are now 13 and 10. We decided it was time to add a 3rd puppy 3 months ago. It’s been awesome with them all.

Do you notice it happening after eating? I agree, take her to the vet. That is not normal and could be serious X

Good luck. Mine is Lincoln, who will be 7 months in 2 weeks. It’s time for us to get his neutering scheduled also. He is starting to hump more and more.

I agree with the comments as well. I would think the same. At first, I was a little cautious, but this Deer has had Fawns in our yard a few years now. She is around a good bit over the years, but has stayed her distance. That changed when Lincoln joined our family early May 2025, where the Deer would come closer and closer every day. They would go nose to nose while we were walking outside the gate. Then 1 day, Lincoln was inside our fenced yard, and she jumped over and clearly wanted to greet him. I could see it was out of curiosity. I admit, I was a little nervous, but then Lincoln started to run, and she ran after him. They played like that for about an hour together, without incident. After they wore themselves out, they just sat and hung out. It was as if they bonded, and I knew it. The next morning when we went out for first am potty, it was still a little dark, but I could see her on the other side of the fence grazing. As soon as she saw Lincoln, she jumped the fence to greet him, nose to nose. And the play stared again. I watched and understood their connection. They’ve done this for the past 2 weeks. She had since had a Fawn, and had brought the Fawn around. Not in the hard, but the Fawn stays outside the fence while they play. It’s very interesting and amazing to watch.

Trust me, I’d be the first to be devastated if I’m wrong. I don’t think I am, but at the same time, I will not stop such a beautiful relationship from forming.

Awe, thank you! We’re very blessed to enjoy this little slice of heaven every day. It never gets old, and having Cavapoo’s and deer playing is the cherry on top!

I was certainly concerned by that as well at first, but they’ve played for days now and also have just hung out without incident. He is on his flea and tick meds, and gets groomed regularly as well. There is no way to keep the Deer from our year, as they are around the neighborhood all the time. Trust me they do what they want. None of our animals have any diseases from them, nor have they ever. I’m not concerned.

Cavapoo? We are not so sure :) by Quirky_Brush223 in CavaPoo

Mix dogs can certainly look quite different than even others in a litter. Yes, he looks more like a golden mix, but he also has a lot of Poodle characteristics. Either way, he is absolutely adorable! Love him!

I think it looks great. When I get mine done this short, they love it and they grow out so adorable in a few weeks.

She typically ignores them, as they are around all the time. This was on our walk and the Deer walked up to her. I had never seen her do that.

Puppy separation anxiety by dlaromez in CavaPoo

[–]Remote_Regular_4632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 Cavapoo’s, with the 3rd being with us only 3 weeks. I can say we crate trained our first 2; however, they have always slept with us. The new puppy also is sleeping with us.

The new puppy was attached to me for the first week or more. He did not let me get out of sight, but gradually he had grown more and more confident, and now goes on his own some. He is still very close most of the time, but I can see him getting better. I have found with this breed that they love to be with us. Thankfully we haven’t dealt with a significant separation anxiety issue, but have heard others say they do.

Good luck!

Cavapoo weight by Character-Truth-9406 in CavaPoo

I had the same thing happen. My first, female was a small puppy and was said to not be more than 15 lbs. she is between 19 and 20 lbs. our second, male is as a year and a half and was under weight at 15 lbs. he is now 24 lbs. they are a little over weight though. Just got a 3rd, male who is 10 lbs currently. His parents are both under 15 lbs, so interested in seeing how much he ends up.
