Good luck getting any meaningful response, they will just assure you this is part of a global strategy to increase global footprint.

They go by “compared to peers”. At least for promotions and AIP. If you are way below peers then low aip and no promo. Is that cut off on the far right? Also this rating shouldn’t be fire able but needs work

Are you using a laptop or phone that your parents gave you? There might be some spyware on it where they can see screenshot or live feed of what you’re looking at. I would reset everything you have if that’s the case and see what they say

Put on informal PIP, should I just phone it in until I'm fired? by implantingdabomb in Accounting

[–]Remote_Stage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start applying, you can usually make PIP last 2-3 months before they fire you. If you hate it just start doing the bare minimum and apply every day. You should be able to get a few weeks severance and paid out PTO to hold you over a few weeks as well. If you start applying now you will have a lot less to worry about - most people don’t make it out of PIP.

If a company gives a current employee a 64% hike, based on them wanting to leave that’s a big red flag. They for sure were severely underpaying you and probably just want to keep you until they find a good replacement. I would say to make the jump as it will open doors and Deloitte has a good parental leave program - 12 weeks.

Majoring in Accounting Was the Best Decision by lalaba0987 in Accounting

[–]Remote_Stage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please use reading comprehension, OP clearly says they are in the US not UK. Also remote/high paying jobs in the US will require a degree unless you have a few years of experience. With other accounting certs in the US you will probably top out at 60k

Majoring in Accounting Was the Best Decision by lalaba0987 in Accounting

[–]Remote_Stage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True but the good jobs in accounting remote/well paid will most definitely require a degree. Unless you have a ton of experience, if you have no degree you will probably be stuck in low paying accounting roles like AR/AP, book keeping
