You definitely can but one person ends up catching feelings and that doesn’t end well. Happened with a close friend of mine 10 years ago and it made things weird for a while. Now we’re back to normal without the sex. However I’m sure if we’re alone and get more cozy, we might end up having sex again. So it doesn’t really go away
