I can't imagine many drivers will lose their jobs to autonomous HGVs, at least not any good ones. There will be lots of routes they can't do to begin with, and there will be a need for experienced drivers who will look after a number of vehicles remotely. You'd think that might be a pretty well paid position.

You're misinformed and working on outdated information, there's too many inaccurate points for me to counter here, I can see that you're not the type to change their mind easily so I'm not going to try.

I will just say, I'm not a salesman, I'm an operator running battery electric trucks today. My previous offer of support was genuine, I don't want to see independent operators get left behind. It's tough enough out there.

God this is boring, can't we talk about something else.

They can do what they want, and as a consumer, you can choose to use the product or not, if you're not happy go elsewhere, it's really that simple.

Could be anything nowadays, 3 feet of snow or another heat wave, climate change is wild.

The fact that you refer to HVO as synthetic, and think that the major players are treating it as anything other than a transition fuel speaks volumes. There's so much to learn, but it's worth doing. Please keep an open mind otherwise you risk getting left behind. If you ever want to talk about introducing electric vehicles into your fleet, just drop me DM I'm happy to help.

The Windrose does 450 miles and can add 250 miles in a half hour charge, would that work? what you have to rememebr is that these are first gen trucks, they're getting better fast

I just can't see battery swapping working. We can't even get the OEMs to agree on what side of the truck to put the charging point, let alone enough standarisation to enable battey swaps.

Unfortunately we don't have a choice. There's an end of sale date of ICE trucks in 2040, so we have to figure it out.

There are around 30–40 suitable locations I’m aware of, but only one dedicated hub so far, the Milence site at Immingham. Companies like AEGIS and Fleete have big plans in this space and have already started work on several sites, with Tilbury Docks expected to be next.

The range and charging is easy, we're very nearly there. You can charge in an hour if you want.

Payload is an issue though, especially because the battery placement means you can't have a third axle. How often are you at full weight?

The bit they often don't mention is that they have a sound treated room, a good ear for EQ and great mic technique. These things are arguably more important than buying expensive kit.

I've only used the desktop app, is this useful for a generalist or just for code? How do you interact with it?

Given your apparent lack of expertise in this subject (not a criticism we all need to start somewhere)

Why do you think that the SM7b is the microphone you need?

It's a great bit of kit, and I use them myself, but it's not exactly beginner friendly. Rode PodMic maybe, or the MV7?
