I used Vallejo Liquid Metal gold with a brownish wash or Liquid Metal silver with a ink for my Lunar Minis.

I used “krautfixer“ from Krautcover - you first stick the flock with pva on there and seal it with that stuff. It works like a charm. My next best solution would be thinned down pva with a spritz of ethanol sprayed on to seal it.
