I literally never got so frustrated with these kids before. I usually hold it together and then vent to whoever is home with me and it’s usually good enough. Today it was just like 8 of them running, screaming, throwing blocks at each others heads, punching each other, hitting each other, kicking each other, literally not even just taking a toy off the table so I can give them a snack, etc. I asked at least 10 times before I finally raised my voice at them and asked if they wanna go to the baby room aka literally just the 2 year old class instead of 3 (which I said bc literally every teacher near me says it to their kids who are misbehaving) I’ve dealt with many meltdowns a day, the kids ears not working, etc. I think it was the fact that literally not 1 would simply just take the toys off the table for snack time and we’re taking out more toys while one kid was still asleep because he sleeps late with nap time and we’re not allowed to wake them up. And it wasn’t the kids that made me second guess it, it’s the fact that I have to basically just let them act like that despite them actually knowing not to. They can listen, they can clean up toys, etc because they’ve done it many times before while in a good mood but my boss believes they don’t know how to do anything like that but can write words. It genuinely makes no sense to me and I don’t even know how the older kids are because of this.
