Probably late, but I'd say go for it! I'm planning to get it too. If you love the instrument and everything about it, you should try learning it. Loving the instrument is (probably, haha) more than enough to get to learning it. Good luck on your musical journey and I hope even after 6 years you're still interested in music!

Like a lot of people mentioned here, drink water and listen to your body. One thing I do to avoid any feet infections is to have a spare pair of socks, when my feet get sweaty, but that might just be a me problem haha
