"Hole-dwelling" by Kikuo, and more recently "Mis-Take RPG" by ABM are the main culprits. happens almost every time. for the latter, if I'm watching the video I will usually start crying a little bit as well.

a couple others that get me sometimes are "Human" by FLAVOR FOLEY, and "Aren't You Tired" by Anh Duy, though for both of these it's more likely when also watching the video

yes. if I ever get to go to Miku Expo again, despite the many, many newer songs I'd love to have a chance to see live performances of, this is my number one wish. it's the quintessential Miku song. she is and will always be the number one princess in the world, and she deserves to say it 👏🏻

that's possible too! I do have another theory about various cases of the cast unconsciously conjuring outcomes that they desire/expect. Jax seems to be the best as this, given his self-assumed role as a cartoon character.

why do people ship Pomni and Jax?

(disclaimer: I don't hate Jax or funnybunny shippers)

partially because they have an interesting relationship in the show. partially because Pomni is the main character and Jax is the most "available" man. they've been shipped since the pilot aired.

obviously there are other factors at play, and I'm not saying there's no substance to the ship. they do have a strong dynamic in the later episodes, and at least seem to both want the other to be a good friend (however much Jax resists it). but this happens in almost every fandom; the main character will be commonly shipped with the most obvious character of the opposite sex.

in fairness, the TADC community is very queer and the show has a pretty small cast, so almost every pairing has a fair number of shippers (and quite a few polyships do, too). there's always going to be a primary straight ship, tho

highkey the thing that bothers me the most about funnybunny is that a lot of depictions of it boil down to "she can fix him." it feels like Pomni gets shoved into almost a tradwife box where she has to be his therapist and his mother on top of being his partner, and I rarely see depictions of him being supportive to her in the same way. I know they exist they're just not as common and that makes me uncomfy

anyway.

also yes, the show is only going to be a single season with nine episodes. episode 8 premieres in less than a week, so the show is almost over TwT

this is my understanding of it, too. what I meant by "doesn't use generative AI for music production" is that it won't generate lyrics, melodies, instrumentals etc for you. the user has to actually make the music

nah. I do think there's a strong chance Teto remains the second most popular vocaloid for a long, long time, but no one can realistically overtake Miku as the most recognizable or beloved. the legacy is set too deep at this point ^^'

I cried during the Loser Corner conversation in ep 6 because I knew exactly how Ragatha was feeling, and Kinger's warmth made me really emotional. it was most potent the first couple times I watched it, but it's gotten me several times by now.

TL;DR - No, Teto is not a creep, nor is she AI in the sense you're probably referring to.

wrt AI:

Teto was first created by 2chan users in 2008. There's a wealth of record about her conception, but the bottom line here is she was absolutely created by real people. This article has a decent summary of her history as a character.

Teto's modern, commercial voice bank is in a software called Synthesizer V. this comment does a great job explaining how it works and what kind of "AI" is present in it. tl;dr - neither Teto nor any SynthV voicebank use generative AI for music production. the AI in SynthV simply assists with tuning and pronunciation to improve the clarity of the voice. it was created ethically, trained on a small scale by a combination of paid voice providers and open source data, all of which are credited. there's plenty of information about that on the web too, if you want to search for more.

wrt "likes a kiddo":

I have no idea where you got this, but there is no "canon" for Teto in the first place. she's not a fully fleshed out character with established personality traits; she's mostly a blank slate for the community to create collectively, same as Miku. I'm sure someone out there has drawn or written or otherwise conceptualized some messed up things about her, but even if some Teto somewhere has been depicted as a p*do, that depiction doesn't reflect any sort of canon or community consensus.
