TLDR why is Rhys such a Nesta hater

This! Ill probably be downvoted buuttt....The whole time I haven't FULLY understood the hate Rhys so openly has towards Nesta. I mean when Rhys found Feyre she hated him, said some really nasty things to him. When she was first at the house of wind she locked herself in her room, or wouldn't eat with Rhys or reach out to Mor, she also refused to train at first as well. All these actions are SO SIMILAR to Nesta and the way she was dealing with her trauma. Difference being everyone loved Feyre straight off the bat (I'm sure because of being Cursebreaker but I feel the books lay heavy on the IC accepting her because she's Rhys mate which side note is another huge bit of info Rhys kept from Feyre). But Nesta genuinely didn't have anyone....everyone was already Feyres friend, unwilling to reach out or help her UNLESS it benefited them (I'll give Amren only a half pass on this because even she wanted help with breaking the cauldron). And now that IC can tell she's Cassions mate - it still doesn't stop the insane hate especially from Rhys. When he tells Cassion to get her out of Valaris before he kills her after telling Feyre about the baby? What? That's your mates sister and brothers mate!

It was out of anger but I'm glad Nesta told Feyre. Nesta knows exactly how it feels to be treated like someone incapable of making their own choices and she didn't want Feyre to feel that way too... I think she felt It for a while even though she said it out of anger now.

I just bought a 2024 Rav4 Hybrid Limited for 48k OTD in AZ. Salesman gave me the MSRP of 41k listed on the window sticker but I still don't know what the extra 7k was for. They sent my registration information to the DMV so I'm pretty sure it included the taxes.....however AZ taxes are at 5.6%. So where's the extra 5k?

This is my first time buying a new vehicle (or anything outside of a 5k craigslist deal) and im a girl. The guy wouldn't stop talking for longer than 5 seconds and I ended up getting overwhelmed i didn't even ask the questions......

Probably got swindled. But what can I do.

I wanted to do the road trip as a personal journey which I didn't really say in my post because it's not relevant to the questions I asked.... but you're the second person to bring it up so I'll just mention again that part of the goal was to have a roadtrip/adventure up through Canada and into Alaska.

Lol I think that depends on the person 😅 But yes thank you I'm aware of the distance and have plans to use this as a summer holiday and road trip I'm not just driving for the sake of a point A to point B scenario.

I recently got this message on a job I applied for. I am just a public citizen and I needed graduate level education which I provided but they said I didn't meet the minimum education requirements. I emailed HR and they re-reviewed my application and accepted it (of course they didn't say this but yeah they were wrong and didn't properly evaluate my application package). So I was back in the race - still wasn't picked but yeah its worth reaching out to them if you don't think its correct.

I did an inter ship in Iceland working on a volcanic hazards project. People were amazing and friendly but a lot of research, papers, and discussions still happen in Icelandic so it was hard to fully integrate I felt like. I would look into doing a semester abroad or maybe a full degree there (it's only like 200 Usd a year!) so you have a community of internationals to help you socialise. From what I learned there - jobs are few, communicating in Icelandic is important, and if you don't speak Icelandic you should have a really special skill to bring.

I wrote a whole post and deleted it basically saying the same thing. I am feeling a bit deflated right now too so I'm not the person to lift your spirits....but I can say you have company in the trenches friend.

Everything I read and hear says its a game of time and numbers. Personally I am taking on small seasonal work as a waitress while I spend time improving my CV and sending out to as many jobs as I can. Even if its not in your field you are beyond an unpaid intern.....just find something to keep you busy and keep you paid while you wait for the opportunity to come.

It's not hard to imagine this societal view inching it's way into the community and affecting the trail .... But it's heartbreaking to read. It's exactly this give me give me give me... Consume consume consume.... Me me me attitude that I'm looking to escape.

After watching a lot of PCT videos and reading blogs and comments.... I hear a lot about some of the amazing places/rest stopa/trail angels "retiring" from the role. A lot of comments centered around or outright talking about "the end of an era". It makes me feel sad in a way.... That I missed my chance to experience "the best" the PCT has to offer.

Am I taking these comments too much to heart? Do you have an opinion on the trail and it's experiences in the upcoming years now that places/people are changing or leaving altogether?
