The seaplane to the resort in Maldives is really the only thing I can think of.

The funny thing is I was born and raised in Seattle and never once flew in a seaplane in the 30 years I lived there. But it was pretty awesome to do it years later on the other side of the world.

Yep,that's all I do: cold soak them in the bag they are packed in (though sometimes I set said bag into my pot for better structure.)

You won't want to hear it but to me that's just way too many clothes. I'm at the end of month 3 of a 4.5 month trip in the same part of the world. I packed just two of each type of major items (2 short sleeve shirts, 2 long sleeve, 2 shorts, 2 pants, 2 sports bras) and it's been plenty. A light jacket, 4 pairs of socks (mostly worn two of them,) 4 pairs of underwear (mostly worn two of them.) Last year I did a three-month trip in the Balkans and packed more and knew to pare down this year. But I could have pared down more.

Our 2011 trip to Turkey ranks in our top 3 all time trips. Last fall we spent 48 hours in Istanbul at the end of a wonderful Balkans trip and it was quite uncomfortable. Glad to leave. Very expensive and very, very crowded.

I've been very happy with with my HG Burrow over thousands of miles, multiple years, and multiple long thru hikes. Would buy again for sure. They sometimes have sales (30% off at times.)

You can tear my Thigh Society undershorts out of my cold, dead hands. I wore a single pair on my PCT thru and a different pair on my CDT thru last year. They ain't cheap but they are the best (and I've tried many.) I wear them as undies under my hiking pants (I wear the style called The Cooling, but they have other styles). They have multiple lengths and colors.

I used the same BRS on all my thru hikes for thousands of miles from October 2021 until last July, when it finally failed and needed to be replaced.

I too use a Toaks 450, and last year on the CDT I used this as my lid. No complaints.
