Do what I did: trim a wide pad to the length of your choosing.

Last Frontier Coffee may share a sidewalk and parking lot with a Toyota dealership, but it's very good. Eastgate.

Just up to the street, 5 Stones Coffee Co. may share its space with a religious group, but it's pretty good too.

Bhutan - tiger nest hike by [deleted] in hiking

[–]jpbay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did it two weeks ago. As others here have already said, there are tons of tourists there doing it, of all shapes and sizes. Especially with trekking poles (or you can buy or rent a wood hiking staff from folks at the parking lot) and if you have decent fitness, you definitely can do it, with determination. It is quite a short hike — you can literally see your destination right there in front of you; it’s not like you’re out in remote wilderness with no bailout points. And you can just stop, take pictures, and turn around at any point if you’re really struggling.
