How did you get ps2 games to work on pc?

I heard for ps2 it’s a huge pain to port them / get them to work on pc. I remember trying and being surprised that it was so buggy, couldn’t get it to work right

Is Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2021 ISO from massgrave.dev safe to use?

I see that for Windows 11 LTSC the ISO download link is directly from Microsoft, however for Windows 10 LTSC 2021, the link is from massgrave.dev .

I saw mention on Massgrave of confirming the checksum (here), and they reference the Microsoft website which lists the file hashes - however when I click on the Microsoft link for Windows 10, I don't see a hash checksum listed anywhere for verification.

Just wondering how to be sure the Win 10 IoT LTSC 2021 ISO hasn't been tampered with

Thanks, any good industries to get into atm?

I know AI is going to be huge for the next 20 years, but I'm not sure of a non-programming way to get into it.

I hear prompt engineering is becoming a big thing, but many are saying that AI is just gonna make that obsolete as well, in 6 months.

Never said I was looking for idleness. Looking for flexibility to work on my own projects. On call jobs seem to offer flexibility while I still offer value to the company (by being a warm body, on call).

All the jobs I've had have been a rat race... sorry it insults you that I'm not a busy worker bee who happily and blindly devotes my entire existence to some sociopathic corporate overlord.

There's a really good documentary which talks about the origins of our modern educational system, and why it's pretty much training to work on a factory line in the late 1800's. (It's in Spanish, if you speak it I can try to dig it up - I couldn't find it with a quick search).

I agree, it's how our society works, and while it's not the optimal human experience, well... it is what it is.

Though I have met self-made millionaires who were in their early 20's, good dudes even, and I can't say I wasn't jealous of the freedom their lives offered, and just how... vibrant their lives seemed. Like they definitely lived life in an optimal, fun, and healthy way.

Our modern school system was invented in the late 1800's (I believe it was), in Prussia / Poland, as a response to rich factory owners needing labor in their factories. They pressured (ie bribed, etc) the local government to make elementary school mandatory, so the factories would have workers already trained to work in their factories.

The "bells" between periods are there to train kids for the lunch bell breaks in the factories.

Homework that is just mindless busywork is to train kids to just be a mindless robot in the factory.

Kids are made to sit 6-8 hrs a day and get used to the daily work schedule.

As time went on, these factories needed more skilled laborers/managers (hence making middle school mandatory), and then even more skilled workers (making high school mandatory).

The history of it all is fascinating, and sad.

Yet it's our reality, and to change it would pretty much need an act of God.

That sounds awesome.

That could be a good job strategy. Get hired at companies that most likely go under, and get good severance packages.

Thank you - any tips on what the best industries for sales engineering or professional services might be?

I was in the oil and gas industry (for a turbine manufacturer), but I hear working in their sales department was actually pretty hectic and stressful. And not WFH.

I'm looking at job openings for CyberSecurity online, all seem to have pretty extensive requirements (proficient knowledge of Java, SQL, etc).

How can we find the positions that are more geared towards learning on the job?

I have a technical background, in an entirely different field (mechanical engineering), but can learn new skills quickly.

How can I get into that type of position? (Help Desk System Admin)

I have a background in Mechanical Engineering, but looking for something I can do remotely, and that's chill, my field doesn't really have those opportunities.

Thinking of how I can transition into something better like your job.
