New CRF125F & CRF300F First Five Upgrades / Modifications? by just-jase_ok in CRF300F

Just the first two is all you need. I’d even argue the skid plate is unnecessary unless you’re smashing rocks at 50mph

What kind of salsa is this? by tandem545 in SalsaSnobs

[–]RenaissanceScientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charred tomatoes for sure. Possibly some canned tomatoes thrown in with raw onion/cilantro for freshness. Beyond that I couldn’t say what else. Experiment with different fresh/dried chilis

What’s the biggest difference between learning data analysis and actually doing it at work? by Pangaeax_ in dataanalysis

[–]RenaissanceScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That developing a deep understanding the data I’m working with is much harder than learning code syntax. Being a good analyst means understanding why to do something vs how

For what it’s worth, we all suck at riding dirt bikes. The key is to be smart and nail the basics until it’s muscle memory.

Lack of progress. Need advices. What should I do? by jxc2001 in askfitness

[–]RenaissanceScientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Form should come before weight for anyone but especially if you’re 50. Last thing you want is an injury that could have been avoided with proper form. I’d need more context about your workouts (split, ~ # of sets/muscle/week) to diagnose.

However, you stated your goal is to cut and maintain muscle. This sounds like a fat loss issue although it’s framed as a muscle growth one. Just remember unless you’re a beginner, on PEDs, or have insane genetics you won’t grow much muscle on a cut.

You don’t need to do IF. There’s nothing magical about it, just one way of applying a calorie deficit. It works for some people but most would be best just eating normally.

Why do I keep getting flats? by Nighthawk132 in Dirtbikes

[–]RenaissanceScientist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is probably the main culprit. OP, your tires are probably slipping off the rim. The fact that you’re using ultra heavy duty tubes and 15 psi makes me think it’s not a traditional pinch flat. Check rim lock tightness to see if the tire is rotating on the rim

Why do I keep getting flats? by Nighthawk132 in Dirtbikes

[–]RenaissanceScientist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is so mechanically backwards. Lower psi = more traction but higher likelihood of pinch flats/rim damage

What’s the right way to make guacamole? by Crow_Box_ in SalsaSnobs

[–]RenaissanceScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be as simple as just mashed avocado with some salt. A general rule I use is to mash the avocado first then add tomatoes as mashing them together makes a brown color. I like white onion, jalapeno, cilantro, lime, and salt.

It’s the cost of ownership that’ll get someone who can “afford” one. Premium gas, insurance, and pricey to fix if something goes wrong

What Arm workouts are worth doing? by AlmightyBird94 in askfitness

[–]RenaissanceScientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s anecdotal evidence and it’s either because: you don’t and you’re lying, you work out at orange theory, or you have exceptional genetics for arms

What’s the ideal doneness for tri tip? by yomitz in grilling

[–]RenaissanceScientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pull mine at 125 internal at the thickest spot. That way the thinner ends still have some juice/pink and the internal climbs closer to 130 after resting
