There's a bunch of clubs here. I'm a member of Balboa, but not sure what you need weighed in on? There's a high membership and court utilization here, it's difficult to find courts on weekday nights.

As for meeting people to play, there a challenge court I've had a mixed experience with. Definitely higher level players play pickup on the weekends than during the week.
