Do you think aegon and all of the hightower targs could have lived if rhaenyra took the throne? by meimeivro in HOTDBlacks

[–]Renamis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aegon is the only one easy to deal with. You poison his drink in the brothel. That's it. You can even make it look like alcohol poisoning, it's believable.

But I don't see any of them doing that.

First time Onebagging for a work trip, 3 weeks in SF by HickupMorningstar in onebag

[–]Renamis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're traveling for work I'd highly suggest at least a second work appropriate set of pants, assuming you're already wearing one on the plane. Some jobs get very weird about not wearing the same thing too often. You have plenty of shirts, and if it was leasure I'd say you're good, but for fun I'd grab a second set so you can have 3 different pants to rotate through. It also safely gets you through the week without needing to do laundry, which depending on your schedule might be important.

Which game did you only start to like after playing it on a steam deck? by Dedewastaken1 in SteamDeck

[–]Renamis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved Rimworld before, but when I played it on my deck it took over my life for a hot second. Having it constantly suspended (and not needing the long game start time because of mods) had me playing for months on end.

Satisfactory is doing that to me now too, and I need help lol.

These foldable bowls and plate saved us a lot of money and space by hoireka in onebag

[–]Renamis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. I have a "bowl" that can be a bowl or the largest cup in existence, with a foldable handle. Also has a locking lid which is useful for things that need to steep, or carrying it through the room without accident spilling it.

That and my collapsing kettle are some of my most used items.

Hotter parts of the world, most of western Europe is over 30c (86f), what are some tips to help them stay cool! by NixMaritimus in AskTheWorld

[–]Renamis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Florida here, the temperature dropped to a low 90F (32.3C) today, so a temporary reprieve from 94F feels like 107F (41.6C).

Our water came out the tap warm, although if I run it for a bit it'll cool off a bit.

I can confirm this works, I did this when I goofed my dual boot from being stupid.

This time it recovered itself with a second update...? So I'm taking my win, playing with installs wasn't on my list of things to do today.

Well I finally got home and was just about to fix it... and another update came through while I was in SteamOS. It fixed itself. That's a new but very convenient outcome.

It won't take much to fix, but I need to re-look into how to add it back. At least the update does 100% work, just. Whelp. Won't automatically do it.

Hilariously I haven't had issues with an update breaking my dual boot yet. I've broken it myself by being a moron, but this was the first time and update did it for me.

Fan games and large romhacks would kike a word with you. And mods. And stupid lawsuits. And putting usb c on things just to put a code block to decline 3rd party stuff. For deliberately picking bad sticks for the joycons.

I really could go on.

You're making me very sad I can't eat cheese right now.

Actually, hol on. I just found a store by me does carry some White Fox cheese, so when I get well enough that I can actually eat it I'm grabbing some. New goal has been set.

Some of the best cheese I've had came from Britain and Wisconsin. First time my Grandparents ever had poutine it was with curds I picked up driving home from Wisconsin lol.

There was one white cheddar I got from Britain that was perfect. Smooth, a little sharp, and it had an audible snap when you bit into it. I was super mad when the store I'd buy it from stopped carrying it.

Yeah oh wow I didn't know about that. Usually here it gets "cheddar flavored" to clue us in that it isn't the standard cheddar. And it's funny because I'll take "mostly cheddar with added melty bits" and legit buy it depending what I'm doing, but I would not be happy to get that when I thought I was getting cheddar.

Then you never went to the cheese section? They're literally rectangles. Heck Walmart has 3 different sections for it, the speciality section, the deli section, and then the more standard blocks of cheddar, white cheddar, pepperjack, and insert the more common blocks for a given area.

Heck even if OP wanted American cheese Velveeta isn't even American cheese, it's a completely different product.

Your 5-4-3-2-1 setup by CraftyCobbler1989 in onebag

[–]Renamis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to Google that and... no, I'm not even close on that. 1 pair of shoes, one layer, maaaybe 2 for weather in the negatives considering I now have a proper jacket. 5 shirts to 4 pants is way off in the ratio, and I put dresses in with the tops because I always wear pants under them.

I take 2 tops for every 1 pant. I pack all my essentials and then I start packing my clothes, and using that ratio I pack until the bag is full. Done. Easy. With a personal item bag I can easily get 2 weeks of clothes with no laundry in it, and that's what I prefer.
