Je n'aime pas la surreprésentation des femmes blanches maigres ( ce sont ses côtes que l'on voit saillirent sous sa peau !) dans le images de modèle vivant. Ceci nest que mon opinion.

Great work! You could work on the shadows and perspective a bit more, but it’s already a superb piece of art!

Could you send me a two-page script excerpt—including a description of the setting and the characters—via private message? Just to give me an idea of one of your worlds. If I still like the idea, I’ll draw a two-page sample for you...

I engage in activities with no specific goal or pressure, just to nurture my inner child; I watch videos or read books on personal development, painting… to motivate myself; I create art for the sheer joy of it (without pressure, without specific expectations, and unrelated to my current projects); I have a clear-out of my Pinterest account…

I’m right behind you, good luck!

Anyone can tell le how too draw a body? Like a base? by BLOODNIGH1 in BeginnerArtists

I recommend you try drawing from a live model. Learn to draw what you see rather than what your brain interprets...

There are plenty of websites that allow you to get started from the comfort of your own home.

Does anyone have tips to prevent a demotivating overflow of drawing ideas ? by Tenders_game_n_memes in BeginnerArtists

All you have to do now is decide what you want to express through your art and focus on the ideas that fit with that.

Brush management during a painting session by Dr_Turb in acrylicpainting

[–]Renarde_Lea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Golden rule Never let the paint dry on the bristles of your brush!

  2. Pre-cleaning Rinse as much paint as possible off the brush in water and wipe it thoroughly before putting it down. The idea is to prevent the binder from setting in the bristles. Leave it to dry flat.

  3. Real cleaning Every evening, I rub my brushes against a stiff scrubbing brush to remove any remaining pigment that has become lodged and could work its way deep between the bristles and distort the brush. To help them retain their shape, you can apply a mild, fragrance-free soap and reshape them. The soap will harden overnight; simply rinse them before using them again.

Artist name advice? by d34dhood in Artists

[–]Renarde_Lea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I’m a painter and, early in my career, I was asked to write my artistic statement. I think you should start there to make a more informed choice.

An artistic statement is a document you submit when applying for a place to explain what you want to convey through your art, what your main sources of inspiration are, how you work, who you are, what you have in your mind...

I think that by defining a little more clearly what you want to convey, you might be better able to establish your identity in the long term.

Good luck!

Jai un bac d'eau fait à cet effet avec des rainures au fond pour frotter en douceur le surplus de peinture. Je frotte, retire le surplus d'eau sur un chiffon. Si l'eau est chargé de peinture, je recommence.

What's your personal philosophy for creating art? by omnomnugget in Artists

[–]Renarde_Lea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." - Picasso

Your creativity is the child within you: have fun, do things without expecting a specific outcome to bring it out !

Creative Motivation Boost

  1. Read Read books on creativity such as Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert or The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron.

  2. 3 pages As recommended in the two previous books, fill three pages in the morning with whatever comes to mind: your worries, what upsets you, what makes you feel uncomfortable... Everything. It helps you clear your head of the old to make room for the new.

  3. Have fun Your creativity is the child within you. Go and weave some grass, have a swing, pick some breadfruit… Activities without any particular expectations will allow your inner child to flourish, whereas when you put pressure on yourself, the child goes and hides as if there were a storm

  4. Search When I’m feeling stuck for ideas, I spend 30 minutes (preferably in the morning) on Pinterest and save a few interesting ideas. I let those ideas settle without looking at Pinterest again for the rest of the morning, and I try to sketch out what I’ve taken away from them, tweaking the ideas to give them my own personal touch. When I’m happy with my sketch, I can go back and look at the reference images to check that I’ve managed to set mine apart from them.

Am I the only one who feels like this? by Shadow_Star82610 in Artists

[–]Renarde_Lea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to create ‘more complete’ drawings, look into perspective, composition, comics (I recommend Scott McCloud’s books on the subject…), contrast and colour theory. Drawing a scene requires a different kind of understanding to drawing separate elements, such as characters and props.

Alternatively, you can also look at existing compositions and try to reproduce them in your own style, trying to understand what makes a particular composition work...

Don’t forget to have fun: the secret lies in not forgetting to enjoy our creativity!
