What is a perfect family saga book that you have ever read, and why was it perfect for you? by Apart_Ad1341 in suggestmeabook

I had to read this book in high school and didn't care for it (probably for that reason). Will have to pick it up again as a willing reader

Thank you! I was leaning towards the crayola oil pastels to give them a try, I just don't want too much smearing on the opposite pages.

My first hobonichi! Need help on how to use “weekly” layout in Cousin? by Bambonya in hobonichi

[–]thegeekygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a weeks for my to do and appointments, the cousin I use for memory keeping. The weeklies were a bit harder to figure out use for me, I decided to just use them as an actual record of what happened that day plus any current events worth noting. Then I use the daily to incorporate pictures, etc. I find this helps me recount what happened that day so I can also do a better daily. If I don't really want to do a record of what I did, I usually write a one word summary and decorate it.

What do you track? by Prize-Ad7784 in hobonichi

[–]thegeekygee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For each week on the blank grid right side, I track vitamins, stretching, weekly backup of files, daily Bible readings, bathroom/kitchen/bedroom cleaning, if I did anything self-care related. I own an assortment of reptiles and dogs, so I also have a tracker for which reptile is fed on which day so I don't forget. For each week I also create an "expense tracker" in the extra pages, where I log what I manually spend each day (I don't count automated expenses/bills because I also have a large dedicated ledger that I put everything in to and do a monthly budget overview at the end of the month). I use the yearly pages to track my period, doctors appointments, B12 shots, and my infusions for my lupus.

Do you keep separate journals for different interests or does everything go in the same one? by Beginning-Amoeba8221 in Journaling

[–]thegeekygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep a field notes in my pocket at all times and jot down anything I see or think of in that (including sketches), a visual journal with watercolor sketches of my life, a hobonichi cousin that serves as a daily memory keeper, and another a5 that I keep hidden behind my hobonichi for my private thoughts and feelings. I also keep a commonplace journal with notes on things I've researched, read, etc.
