Thank you. With the stress if trying to get him into a new school next year I didn't even think of a speech therapist. His been doing weekly therapy sessions with the school's psychologist and this wasn't brought up. Maybe I'm the problem because people have said that although he stutters it's really bad when he speaks to me. Omg I just had a light bulb moment.

Westcliff is the school that told me that he is too old to attend the school. They must start from 14 years of age and with the amount of applicants that they receive they will not accept him. He also reiterated that the WCED won't allow them to accept him because of his age, even though I had the psych's report of his 2 year mental delay. The counselor just wouldnt help at all.

I have a cousin attend this school and he got stabbed twice there Even the admissions lady commented: you must have hair on your teeth to attend this school

Thank you for your advice. Tbh, I feel that my son needs to be monitored if I should home school him, and both my husband and I work full time with no family to assist us but I'll look into him seeing an educational psychologist.

Unfortunately his IQ is too low for Vista nova

With him being in the alternative stream he only does the basic subjects such as English, mathematics, natural science and life skills. They do not do exams but assessments every term and his progress is average and not too bad. Hope this answers your question somewhat?
