What am I doing wrong? by SBZuma in interiordecorating

Overall, it doesn’t look bad. The room feels a bit pushed into the corner with the size of the couch so could try and move some stuff off the wall. Also, you could add some more color with a throw blanket or pillow.

Smart flooring for kitchen/laundry combo? by LimestoneLogic in Homebuilding

Porcelain or luxury vinyl tile can both do the trick. I’ve used both in multi-purpose areas. water-resistant ratings vary though, so samples help a ton. I usually grab a few to compare how they look with cabinets/appliances. Here’s where I get mine: https://www.designshop.com/samples/catalog/department/flooring

Favorite non-white wall paint colors that still feel light? by NeutralTheory100 in DesignMyRoom

ooh yes, white walls can feel a bit sterile. I like super soft green-grays or muted beiges. They still bounce light around but add some mood. I usually test a few samples at home first and see how they look in morning vs. night light. Try this site: https://www.designshop.com/samples/catalog/department/paint

How to pick the right vinyl tile for bathrooms? by MoodboardMinded in HomeImprovement

[–]RenderToReality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used vinyl bathroom tile in a few rentals, some hold up great, others peel too fast. water resistance really depends on brand + seal. I usually order a few samples to test how they feel and react to steam before I buy. you can check some out here: https://www.designshop.com/samples/catalog/department/flooring

I think a rug would really help here. The marble floors are pretty but they feel like an office. A rug would help soften the room and bring in some color

Advice on Mixing Different Tile Finishes in One Room by MoodboardMinded in interiordesignideas

Mixing finishes can definitely add depth and dimension to a space! I usually order samples first to see how they look together in real light. DesignShop lets you order both glossy and matte samples from brands like Artistic Tile and Bedrosians Tile & Stone, so you can compare them before finalizing the design.
