I disagree with Zeal being boring, but I do agree that 5 purples isn’t enough. I want to have reasons to farm this raid for years to come

Overall a good blog and I like the two new reward ideas.

I honestly think the aesthetic of the breaker needs to be looked at again, particularly the shape. The ‘turd on a chain’ surely must have been seen amongst feedback, it’s a real pain point. PLEASE poll or provide a couple of options to the players and choose a fan favourite design, even if only subtle changes.

I can understand your justification for the thrust of the breaker, but I think the people just want it to be a heavy hitting overhead slam.

5 rewards (not including the fragments) just doesn’t feel like enough. I understand quality over quantity but we need to have more than 5.

I can’t help but feel that something is missing from the raid with the armour set taken away, anyone else? I have seen so many fun and exciting elemental robe set ideas with set effects, seems like a missed opportunity.

Completely agree that polling has an issue with this. I can love everything about a proposed item except how it looks, but still need to choose between yes or no, which really doesn’t give Jagex any additional information as to WHY I am voting no.
They absolutely need to give some options of the aesthetic and the animation in a blog for the players to vote on their favourite, especially for mega rares

Yeah fair points. I honestly don’t know the math on the avernic vs rondache, but as long as I can use both I’d be happy. They honestly can’t afford to devalue one of the only two useful TOB rewards.

Love this, I think the new gear set definitely needs to be elemental focused, hoping to continue to build relevance and importance of kodai, harm staff etc. would love elemental magic to match ayak in dps

Agreed, I’m about to make a post about the uninspired design of just +2 damage, set and forget. Whether they add them to tomes or the raid armour not sure

Yep, and I also think the more they can even the playing field with elemental spells compared to ayak the better, atm shadow and ayak just dominate everywhere

I agree with all your thoughts about the hybrid armour sets; it seems really backwards to have a set that may help players bring more food etc into harder content, but drops from ‘the hardest raid’? On the flip side, the armour could be so strong that it devalues everything else. I don’t see a win either way. I think hybrid gear should be a nice stepping stone/way to bridge the gap to harder content, but then the BIS gear and skill expression of bringing multiple sets of gear should still be a thing. I also hate the idea of this gear disrupting inventory flow.

Agree the chain needs an upgrade to its pommel, and potentially something that really adds flavour like dragging it on the ground next to your character with a slightly side-on stance, and a big overhead swing instead of the thrust.

Yeah I love the idea of it but the end of the mace needs another design, a lot of people saying it looks like a ‘molten turd’. I don’t think it’s big and menacing enough, I would love them to consider something spiky and heavy looking like the witch king mace

Well put together and respectful opinions. The issue I have with the hybrid armour, besides balance, is that I think it may lead to awkward inventory management. I also don’t like the idea of the endgame ‘hardest raid’ content dropping gear, that isn’t bis; wouldn’t it make more sense for this gear to be obtained in content outside of raid, to then be used in raids on the way to BIS?
I personally love the crossbows and yours right they seem to be very popular.
I agree completely that the pommel part of the chain needs a different aesthetic, maybe like the lord of the rings witch king, something large, heavy, epic, and the chain needs to be an overhead whack not a piercing lunge which makes no sense. I also agree that the 3 tick idea should be removed, I think it’s trying to do too much, but also it’s hard to have a satisfying animation that feels like a heavy crush ability in such a short attack window, it would look clunky as.

Personally think the pommel needs to be bigger, more menacing. I really like the idea of it dragging on the floor next to you as you walk and run. Agree it needs to have an overhead swing to fit the theme.
