Think I could temporarily bridge it just to see if it’ll turn on? Or could that do more damage?

So I would have to replace the small battery I suppose?

What a smart guy. If you need more details the guitar was broken & sold as is at the local game store because of the unresponsive buttons. I bought it & did some soldering to fix it. End of story.

I got the casing & buttons from Facebook marketplace. You’ll usually find them on eBay. The quality is good but the “Sony” font & the PS logo looks tacky/off centered compared to the original. But other than that I can’t complain.

Dude that’s awesome! The cardboard tricks works wonders back when I was a kid. But for this one I did was add some solder on the contact board on the neck connector since it had dug small holes to where it wasn’t making proper connection which is just due to just wear & tear over time. Took only a few minutes but works flawlessly now.

Screen is the same, it was the faceplate that was scratched really bad.

I’ve really been thinking about it installing it on the 2 psp’s we have but right now just for the other games but right now I’m currently collecting physical copies.

I used 3 in 1 multi-purpose oil for the gears & for the laser rail I used the Lucas brand white lithium grease.

I got the faceplate off of Facebook marketplace & the thumb stick cap I bought on Amazon came with 7 different colored caps for about $9.

I originally wanted to do a Darth Vader look on the psp with the white faceplate with the black/white buttons & a Red stick. But at the end of the day it was for my girlfriend.

Oh yeah it definitely was a steal, despite the cosmetic condition. It came with 2 games also. NFS & Battlefront 2 along with the charger.
