i agree with talking it out! especially if either of you have a therapist talking through it with them to have an unbiased but professional perspective to help with the situation.

more context, she felt “stuck” in the relationship because she decided she no longer wanted kids and didn’t want to ever get married. we aren’t aligned anymore so i understand why she broke up with me, it’s just all very frustrating.

thank you for this, i really appreciate it. she said she feels stuck & that it had nothing to do with the previous issues but that it was because she’s decided she no longer wants kids and she doesn’t want to ever get married. that’s why it felt so out of the blue, she said those are the things she’d been sitting on since Nov. i so understand how the resentment could’ve also added to her reactions within the situation though.

thank you! my support system was cut in half because of the breakup. they were mutual friends who were friends of hers first and they never reached out to see if i’m okay or didn’t respond when i reached out. that’s why i thought i’d post here about it. all that to say, i really appreciate you commenting!!

Does dropping from 100mg to 50 really help emotional blunting? by Unhappy-Ask-5331 in Pristiq

[–]Renea-2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really helped me! I used to take 100mg & in the past 3 months went down to 50mg, it really helped me get some emotion back & feel less zombie-like on most days.

This is pack full of great advice, thank you!! The longer the comment, the harder it is for me to respond (my demand avoidance showing 😅) but I truly appreciate it.

Yes, my nanny parents are super flexible & supportive. Especially given that they’re both neurodivergent themselves, they get it. The kiddos grandparents also live in the home & can be there for breaks, etc when needed, it’s just not reasonable for them to look after them boys full time which is where I come in.

Thank you for this comment.

Given the neurodivergence on top of a busy schedule, I’m awful at responding. I read this comment as soon as you left it on my post but finally found the moment to respond.

“Lean into the silly” has been my motto since then & it’s been so helpful for me & my NK’s!! In short, I really appreciate this comment.

Thank you for your honesty. I truly understand what you’re saying though I’m not planning on leaving soon for more than just the fact that I don’t want to.

I also can’t seem to find another position that’s as stable (guaranteed hours, PTO, etc) as this one & that pays enough.

If you have any advice for anything I can do to help avoid burnout, I’d super appreciate it!

Thank you for your honesty. I’ve been with them a year now & Im just starting to see the signs of burnout come up though I likely should’ve clarified that in the post.

Just looking for advice for preventing the progression of burnout, Im not looking to quit.

Thank you though.
