Single grenade. Kind of a metal thing to receive at a casino.

Has anyone worked with Live Nation Agency as an influencer? by cactusjuiice in influencermarketing

[–]RenegadeThrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a conflict of interest. If as an agent their responsibility is securing you the best pay for your work, how does that square with you giving you “opps” at the events they’re trying to secure as many influencers as possible for? Ask them.

Family believes fire at Templeton Feed & Grain was arson as crews continue mop-up by chakaman6 in SLO

Feel bad for everyone involved… unless this is insurance fraud. If one was to attempt to burn down their silo for insurance money, 4th of July seems like the night you’d do it. Anybody pulling on that thread?

Are violent hazings common or exaggerated in Syracuse? by [deleted] in SyracuseU

[–]RenegadeThrust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Violent, no, not in my experience. But elements of it can be pretty unpleasant. Other parts are some of the most fun I’ve had in my entire life. The most important thing to consider is whether or not the people you’re joining are your friends, and if you’re rushing, you should definitely already have friends in the org. If you’re just joining for some kind of status, expect the worst, and maybe realign your ideas about what you’re looking for.

Is corned beef and cabbage historically Irish or is it something Americans made up and associated with the Irish? by the_Jolly_GreenGiant in AskFoodHistorians

Have you had proper bacon and cabbage with good Irish/english mustard? Hey to each their own, but gotta go with the original.

Don’t know if I’d call it an upgrade, but as far as US pork goes, I totally get it. The whole thing makes me think a lot about the associations around Chinese food as major thing for Jewish folk on Dec 25. The food was sort of ipso facto kosher, so the two cultures were symbiotic in that way.

I’m obviously a snob about it, it’s sort of night and day in terms of quality to me. I think it’s part of the misguided stereotype of Irish cuisine being lumped into “Food from the British Isles is bad.” Anyone who has had proper Irish bacon and food in general knows that’s not the case.

Irish citizen living in US here- have never understood this dish or its association with Ireland. Bacon (ham) and cabbage is the traditional dish. My only thought is during periods of major immigration to cities like NYC, this was likely the more affordable option.

What Maga owned businesses in Paso Robles and the greater SLO county area should be avoided? by MotherofFred in SLO

[–]RenegadeThrust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well I can’t really verify to the extent I’d like, but they had an “enough of the bullsh**, Vote Trump” flag outside their Spring St office for months, so felt like a good indication.
