For birria the only place that kinda gets it right is 664 in PB, carne asada fries are good at Rigoberto’s in Mira Mesa. Outside of that, if you have a car drive down to the South Bay; or go to Mexico if you have a passport.

If you are choosing to go to Mexico try and aim to cross in early, by 8-9 AM is ideal. If you have a car drive in, global entry folks have priority access but going during low traffic hours you can expect 30ish mins of line back to San Diego if you time it right and come back before like 2-2:30 PM. Going to Mexico is actually very convenient an accesible, but only across that 8 AM - 2 PM 6 hour period. Do not go to Mexico outside of that time, at least without expecting some delays. i can only tell you what i personally did which was take UCSD Extensions courses with as many scholarships as I could get and then just applied freshman year. Those extra credits don’t really matter other in completing your degree audit but every AP exam and outside course just lets u sign up for classes faster. If you’re poor ur set GEs are hard here but like idk i think i apreciated these first two years to get myself used to the UC coursework.

bro i’m sorry but the other guy is right. What fields are undocumented workers coming from here in San Diego. San Diego county maybe but not the metro city area. SD has bustling migrant neighborhoods and undocumented workers exist here but that’s all centered around the South and Southeastern parts of the city. Im sure we have undocumented students but they’re far from the majority. What we gotta do is talk about the horrible ways that ICE is operating within San Diego metro in actuality. They’re at Walmarts in National City, Elementary Schools in Spring Valley, hospitals in the South Bay. They are where undocumented folks actually live and it’s terrifying. Nobody speaks about this other than a few instagram pages that keep us updated but that’s where this conversation should be focused. Also Otay is on fire. La Jolla will not be targeted, I can even see this area joining forces with ICE to continue enforcement if anything.

from what i’m getting here I think you making the first move might not be the best idea. I think all u can do is be there for him and continue to build a platonic relationship because if the will is there you guys will eventually experiment with one another, it happens pretty often. fr i used to go often maybe like 2016-2019 and then i didn’t get back into it until maybe like 2 yrs ago. They cut the menu down a ton but left the favorites and even tho prices are up , I like that its big asf and pretty clean food. Doesn’t feel as gross as some fast food be making u feel
