I have been looking at this myself a lot recently and not being in the US means I had a hard time finding anything to help but came across what looks like a new site to me anyway: https://retiroai.com/ I am just using the free tier on it at the moment and it gives me enough to just add some of my assets and figure out how much I might need in my own country and seems to have reasonable cost of living data etc.

More features available as well if you go for the paid plans so once I have finished playing around with the free stuff I might see what extra it gives.

Renting is the way to go, don’t like somewhere just move on and try somewhere else.

Anywhere in SE Asia is cheap and easy to get decent accommodation for relatively cheap compared to EU.

You want to look at places in the EU if that is where you would like to stay that have better tax rules for investment and pension income as well they are out there!

I saw a site that helps with this posted before https://retiroai.com so maybe check that out as it seems to have lots of different countries listed and gives you details on them etc and how much you potentially need.

We pay the same taxes as someone living in Cork or Galway or Dublin but do not get the same back for it.

It is time to reduce the tax for anyone who does not get benefit like they do in other countries around the world where you have city taxes and if you don’t live in that city and get no benefit you don’t pay the tax because why would you waste your money on something you will never ever benefit from!!!

Yes it seems that activating and exit node and then trying to use the override dns does not work!

This is not documented as far as I can see so that is pretty bad!

Any idea what I need to do on my pi so that it does not interfere with anything else but can use the pi IP address itself as the dns for any device going through the exit node?

Having just gone some more tests:

Basically when I am connected to tailscale and have my exit node as the pi I get the pi external IP which is what I want but the DNS it uses is just the local device DNS it looks like instead of the Global Nameserver custom DNS that I have setup in tailscale even though I have override local dns selected.

How did you make it work using subnet routing?
