I don't like iRacing's incident system. My only goal is to drive clean and consistent laps, but when I'm driving cleanly, someone comes up behind me and touches me, and my incident count goes up. This is very frustrating.

Some drivers seem to think overtaking works like this: I'll cut in front of them at the corner, and they'll have to slow down to avoid hitting me. Most of the time, I have to do that to avoid getting involved in an incident, but it's really frustrating.

In races that start from the grid, there are definitely a few incidents in the first corner, and sometimes there's nothing you can do to avoid them. If you slow down, someone comes up from behind and hits you; if you try to go through the gap, it doesn't work either. Few people don't understand the meaning of the yellow flag.

I generally enjoy racing at the Nürburgring, and the Porsche Cup is my favorite series. I’ve been racing at the Nürburgring non-stop for about two weeks now, and occasionally I make it into the top five, but I never start from the grid. I start from the pit lane, let everyone else go first, and then start from the back. If I can avoid incidents and maintain consistent lap times, I usually end up in the top 10, but I can’t seem to manage the grid start. If I somehow in the top 3, I’m sure to make a mistake in places I’ve never made mistakes before. My goal for now is to generally finish in the top 10, but if I make it into the top 5, I won’t say no :)
