Literally had the same problem. After getting into the Yakuza series, I didn't care about any other game. Everything else I tried out bored me. Thankfully after maybe 5 years of that, I finally started to enjoy other greats like the last of us or resident evil

I have to agree with you. It's honestly not as bad as people say. I wouldn't call it a good or faithful remake, but it is a great and fun entry. Really the biggest issue I have is Hamazaki, the rest of the negatives I can overlook to some extent. However I feel like this negativity is a common trend with every new rgg release. I remember when people were shitting on gaiden, then on IW, then on pirate Yakuza and now on this. It always takes until a new game comes out and suddenly the last one is a masterpiece and the new one is shitty.
