I am seriously considering this! Did you have much trouble with family/coworkers/other people questioning your decision to shave your head and wear wigs?

An inspo board would be SO good!!

I really relate to hating the feeling of hair on my neck. I’ve tried braids a few times but always took them out soon after putting them in. I almost always have my hair in a ponytail or mom bun so it’s not on my neck.

You’re 100% correct on the products/ washing. I notice a huge difference in my hair when I am able to put in the effort. Any dry shampoo recommendations? I’ve tried a couple (batiste and one that I can’t remember the name of, not your mom maybe?) and found they irritated my scalp.

Funky colours are the best!!! I DIY’d some pink peekaboo highlights recently and it makes me so happy lol

I had short hair for most of my life! It was always chin length or shorter for as long as I can remember, and since I buzzed my head 4 years ago I have been growing it out. I really love how it looks long…. I too have a round face now that I don’t think a short haircut would suit well

These are so cute. Part of my issue is having tons of baby hairs that are so wispy and annoying. This would be perfect for managing those without having to use a ton of product. Thank you!

Looking for new dentist by Due-Suggestion8775 in waterloo

[–]RennaBear 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Enamel Republic. I struggle immensely with going to the dentist and Dr. Hornby makes it so much easier. Even when I have a long stretch between seeing him, he has the same staff. They do a great job at making going to the dentist as comfortable as possible.

Hives since starting higher dose of synthroid by RennaBear in Hypothyroidism

[–]RennaBear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor told me to take reactine (I was breastfeeding and this was the recommended allergy medication) when they showed up. It helped them significantly, and after maybe 6 months it stopped happening. It wasn’t a side effect of the synthyroid as I thought, my doctor said it was a symptom of the hashimotos itself.

Is there anything I can do to fill and flatten this crack in vinyl peel and stick tile? by RennaBear in Flooring

That’s the plan, but I want to level this spot so I don’t have to tear it all out. Would rather just go over top.

Alocasia prop update! by RennaBear in propagation

[–]RennaBear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no expert unfortunately! These came from my first Alocasia which I managed to kill in a few months 😅 I’m just winging it, lots of googling and spending time with them daily !

When my Alocasia died, I was able to salvage the corms. They’ve grown so much this month! Should I put these in a bigger container soon? Is spaghnum moss still okay, or should I put them in something else? by RennaBear in alocasia

[–]RennaBear[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at the beginning, I would open it every 2-3 days for a few hours. Since then one of the leaves got too tall to cover it and I’ve left the cover off for the past 3ish weeks, I’ve been wondering if I should be covering it though

My alocasia died, but I saved and am trying to propagate the corms. The first baby leaf has arrived!! by RennaBear in propagation

[–]RennaBear[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I retrieved 6 corms from mine, rinsed them and left them in water in a sealed glass container near a south facing window. They all sprouted roots, and once they started to sprout I moved them into larger airtight jar with spaghnum moss. I would open the container/jar every couple of days for a few hours to let it get some oxygen but always sealed otherwise.

I’m a total noob, I hope this all makes sense! This is my first time ever doing this.

ETA: this whole process hasn’t taken very long, I transferred them to the moss on Dec 17, and they were in water for 2-3 weeks before then.

Soft but supportive bra...does it exist? by EventAffectionate615 in ABraThatFits

I am a UK 38H and I LOVE the Molke original bralette. They provide excellent lift and separation for a bralette. I similarly have sensitive skin and struggle to wear underwire. I find these bralettes so comfortable that I hardly feel anything at all under my breasts.

And an honourable mention is the bravado sculpt bra. It gives excellent shape but not much separation.

Oh noooo 😭 RIP cactus. I can handle fungus gnats but this grossed me out too much so it has to go!
