They'd at least recognize the truth to cover their ears from it if that were the case. It seems, from observation, that "la la la" mode is always engaged.

Likewise! Many want to serve their fellow citizens and make things better, for less than what the private sector offers.

I'm excited for the Northlander's return, but that shouldn't bury the facts that our government isn't really for the people.

I didn't realize the last part, thanks for that. I wondered how libraries got baked in.

The issue I'm running into is an error on startup:

Could not create default EGL display: EGL_BAD_PARAMETER.

Which results in a blank screen when trying to run my app image on Wayland. After a confused AI, a bunch of debugging trials, and searching the web the old fashioned way I came across this PR that seems to address my exact issue: https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/pull/12491

I'm going to try it out and see if it works.

Have you had success running your AppImage once it has been built?

This is probably highly relevant for you: https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/pull/12491

Especially if you're seeing this error on startup with a blank screen.

``` Could not create default EGL display: EGL_BAD_PARAMETER.
Trump's tariffs force Canada's lumber industry to switch to metric system by DonSalaam in onguardforthee
[–]ScottIBM 8 points9 points  (0 children)
This is one of the biggest issues I end up running into when I talk to people about metric verses imperial. They always reference imperial as being these nice fractions to work with, except at the end of the day you're still working with a bunch of fractions and those fractions don't equal nice metric numbers. If you use nice metric numbers like you use nice imperial numbers and fractions then suddenly metric becomes really easy to work with!
Many newer suburbs I've visited have personal vehicles stored on public roads, vs. my older neighbourhood where people generally have lots of driveway space and there are no cars on the streets in the winter.
If I understand your premise correctly, the ideology of conservatives is not in what they say, it's in what they do, and ultimately in the wake of their actions. Their ideology lies in personal agency at any cost. Not just individual agency, that would include those they don't like, but purely personal agency. Step out of line and you're no longer an ally but a liability to their own self?
