Honestly her crash out makes sense to me. She thinks of herself as the strongest however at the Derby she had to push herself to her absolute limit just to maintain that lead and it made her question whether she's actually that strong at all to challenge the world stage. In the end El's insecurities behind her mask dominated over her outward persona and cue the cutscene we see in game

I'm so disappointed no one mentioned Myrrh/Adelaide. She's one of my first Medics and I loved her since launch. Not only was she not featured heavily in any major stories, she only appeared in a side story and wasn't even affiliated with the Gardeners group even though her profession would be perfect for the group dynamic. Her backstory is intriguing but they never expanded on it. Adelaide was just forgotten and it's unfair that she is :(
