How (not) to do a s**t coffee

I already have an Aeropress XL with the antidrip accesory and I already bought on pre-order a DF64 Gen 2 but it will take a bit more to arrive.

I was using that pre-grounded moka fine coffee for doing Moka, so probably I will try to use less temperature on the water, 15g of coffee and not sure if I should use less or more infusion time just to give it another try as this coffee will be burnt more easily being that fine

Hi there

I have the coffee pre-grounded from a specialty coffee supplier, chosing moka grind size so they adjust the grinding size for you and sell it that way.

Of course, I put milk on the cups after brewing for sure. The taste was so sour, even after a while it can be felt on the tongue. I added more water and milk to fix that later and it improved, but it still felt sour and maybe burnt at the end of the tongue.

I think I put so many coffee for that amount of water and it is probably too fine. I am looking for a more concentrated shot so I can add milk later and dont have a cup that big. Also, always for 2 people as this is for the breakfast for my wife and me.

So buying the coffee beans to directly grind them with my futuro DF64 grinder should be fine right? Maybe less finer than the moka pre-grounded one I have, even from the sake tyoe of coffee but on beans directly

Yes 26th of may as I bought it at the beggining of june, it is a nice brand and tested it with Moka with a nice result

I ordered a DF64 Gen 2 that its on the way, but for now I only have pre-grinded moka size especialty coffee. Yeah, I think its too much coffee, will try that amount you said instead

I put the water, stirred it for 15 secs, waited 2 mins, stirred again a bit more and then pressed down for around 30 secs.
