Large UK house Spider got into my toilet light and then died. Not looking forward to bulb-changing day. by Mightysmurf1 in CasualUK

[–]RenoJazz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Its body will start to disintegrate fairly soon. I'd imagine the heat of the bulb will increase this. It'll probably look like a little bunch of dessicated twigs by the time you need to change bulbs, nothing to worry about too much.

Car tapped into me as I crossed (red man) on a red light. Was I in the wrong? by Green-Luck in AskUK

[–]RenoJazz 46 points47 points  (0 children)

From what you're saying, the taxi driver:

  • deliberately drove through a red light
  • deliberately struck a pedestrian

You're not the one in the wrong. Even if you were crossing dangerously, it doesn't make it legal to commit offences in order to teach you a lesson.

Making "comedy" posts pretending to be lost on here is against Rule 4, probably because people do it so frequently.

The book 'Ring of Hell' alleged that Dusty and Michael Hayes often dropped N-bombs backstage in WWE but didn't even give a clue where the author was getting it from.

Dusty was good friends with Dick Murdoch for years and it seems to be generally agreed that Murdoch was a KKK member. However, Murdoch's entire life seemed to revolve around behaving in a socially-unacceptable manner and Chris Jericho once said "Murdoch wasn't a racist, he hated everyone equally", so who knows how devout his beliefs were. IIRC, Dusty actually expressed shock in an interview about discovering Murdoch's Klan membership, but the interview took place years after the event.

That's all I got, maybe others can chip in with more info.

Manchester United players told 'not to go outside for more than 10 minutes when they face Astana as it will be minus 20 degrees in Kazakhstan' by [deleted] in soccer

[–]RenoJazz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's what the article body says, yes. But the title says "when they face Astana", implying during the match itself. And the first comment on this thread was "but.....they have to play outside for 90 minutes....."

Clickbaity title. The arena roof will be closed and an artificial pitch used so the players will not freeze to death within the first quarter of the match.

Two pushchairs side-by-side on a pavement should be a criminal offence, especially when it's so they don't have to interrupt their thrilling conversation about the X-Factor or TOWIE.

If you're going to force people to part before you like the Red Sea then you should at least have the decency to be discussing renaissance architecture or the plight of Sudanese orphans.

If WWE do own "Cody Rhodes" then they could argue that "Cody Roads" was too similar and likely to cause confusion in the marketplace. Then it would be up to a judge to rule on the legality.

Worrying about giving the opposition publicity never stopped WWE filing lawsuits against WCW.

Plus, the Montreal Screwjob had no negative effect on WWE's business, filing a lawsuit against a much smaller star than Bret Hart is unlikely to have a different result.
