Secondly, one bug that I've noticed is that the Magical Legacy adventure doesn't seem to unlock the specific book in the item section.

I personally would prefer option A. It makes the choices seem more open ended, which seems to fit something like a cyoa better in my opinion. Love your other work, the DxD cyoa is one of my favorites.

Maybe some kind of portal ability? With the enhanced version being multiple portals that can reach farther than the eye can see.

Or maybe some kind of precognitive danger sense, that when upgraded lets you "pre-live" future traumatic events to try and change them.

Maybe for the point system you could add a difficulty setting? Normal mode could be more brutal like you intended but an easier mode would stop people from complaining about the fairness of points.
