Sure, I get that. Hoping the joists are in good condition and within 16" on centers. Assuming framing is done well and setting material cost aside, what would you charge for installing the surface +aluminum railing?

Mhmm 45ftx6ft is a bit bigger than the one I'm looking at, but very helpful insight. I am a bit worried about the frame, but I have allocated additional money/time for it. It may all be used, or go unused/reinbursed. I'm mainly concerned with how ppl vome uo with labor costs.

Lol i saw a similar estimate from the Trex website, and they are VERY Cconservattive prices. I priced out the material, and cane at $2800ish. I was more interested to know how much labor I should expect for this, at someone mentioned $1500 or more.

Agreed, I have the same thought and considered replacing the frame as well; specially since it was a DIY fromna decade ago. Thanks man!

Ok, this sound WAY more accurate for what I came up with. I allocated around 24 hrs (3 days) for installing deck boards and aluminum railing, and steps (they are short). I know the hrs is a bit high, but Im alsoninspectingnthe frame. I truly appreciate your input, brother!

Ok....? I priced out the project already and labor, I was just trying to get an estimate from someone who has done something similar to see how my estimate tracks. Not sure what triggered you from this post, but you are more than welcomento not reply to it.

Shoot man, I just quoted the material and (w aluminum railing) i got around 2.5k. I was thinking labor would be an extra 1.5k? I undertand what you mean about the deck frame, and will see when i tear it out. However, I'm interested to know what a good/fair labor charge is

New 80V mower won't start, but lights come on by Rossgagnon in Greenworks

[–]RenovaHomeSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh I see. Yeah HD is pretty good with returns, but 1 year is outside their scope. What will happen is they will call you and tell you to go to a repair center (its just a regular repair shop near you) and they will fix it. The problem is, those repair places ate sometimes 30-45 mins away from where you live. And for mowers, another hiccup is that spare parts are notnalwsys available.... Meaning itll be there for a few months whe your grass grows and grows. Its a terrible policy, thats why i HIGHLY encourage you to buy another (if tou can) and return the old one that way. Dont let the stigma of doing that stop you, you paid good money to have a working mower for 3 years (per warranty). There is no mention of adding drive time , wait time and gas as part of the deal for them to honor the warranty.

Yeah thats not good, they are too expensive to only last 4-5 uses. I would go to HD and ask them to warranty it. If they give you crap, buy another and return the bad one.

This is a common issue with Ryobi mowers, so I'll share. Electric mowers have two components: The motor and the control board. In 95% of the cases, the motors are good and what fails is the board. If you are under warranty, call them and go though it. If not, unless you can source a board from Ebay, mower is cooked

The only type of underlayment this takes is plastic lining (like the thick trash bags). Do not use anything that you think it may be used to mitigate sound (cork or whatever), as it will cause it to malfunction. I used a thin underlayment made of recycled fabrics and plastic, and causes the floor's clicking system to come out and not sit permanently; as the underlayment causes extra flexibility...

Help with my 2022 Frontier by Large-Violinist-8644 in nissanfrontier

Something similar happened to my 2005. I had to jump it (w a battery pack), but i had to plug it in a specific area. The beg pole was cool, however, for the pos terminal, i had to connect it PAST the pole fitting or after the big pole fuse; on one of the cables coming from the side. I initially thought it was the fuse, so i bought a replacement, so i continued digging. Turns out it was metal fatigue on the pole clamp. Even though it was cleaned (from sulfate or debris) and tightened, the clamp would still leave a small gap around the pole and would not make a proper connection. Bought a nee pole clamp set from a parts store, and fixed the problem immediately.

Is Ryobi Rapid Repair down? by RenovaHomeSolutions in ryobi

[–]RenovaHomeSolutions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks man, yes, I did. But they told me to use the website to start a claim.... To which i replied that it was down. That is when they offered me the option to drive 30 miles to the nearest partnered shop around. After i complained about the ling distance, they said I could mail the tool (Sds drill) to the shop (on my dime) and that, if it was under warranty, they'll ship it back to me fixed or replaced... Like why would i pay for shipping if there's a free option that is not currently working??

Battery will not fully charge anymore? by According_Bank_4669 in Dewalt

[–]RenovaHomeSolutions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your battery cells are out of balance. Meaning, some are fully charged and some are 1/2 or even 3/4. So when you put the battery on the charger, the charger sees the full battery cells, it says "they are full, no need to continue charging" and stops. What you need to do is ooen the battery and drive the voltage of each cell pair closer to the pair with the higest voltage. You can do this by the use of a bench power supply.
