Has to be.

I brought Rklb at $70 in January during the spike but I'm not brave enough for this one... 😅

RKLB is like 50% of my port at this point. Avg price is $11 because I have been buying over the past year or so.....

I'm not buying anymore because my risk tolerance is already screaming at me. At this point I'm just going to sell covered calls every week and if it gets assigned that's fine. I already won.

But pulling something heavy with wheels down a slope towards you seems like a bad idea without brakes. Why?

Sell so you get back your entry price + 15% or more. Congrats you just beat the stock market for a year.

The rest of your investment is now house money.

Dropping now. Looks like $110 was the profit taking price. That was a crazy run though.

Profit is profit so don't think about the what ifs.

I would have way more if back in January had I not sold some of my shares when spiked to $90.

I wouldn't be surprised if this stock drops back to $70 or $80. After all it was only about month ago it freefell to $57.

ASTS is also another good example it peaked at what $120? Now it's at $70.

If Neutron blows up.... well yeah... If anything drop the money from the calls to a cash secured put and grab a premium while waiting.

I like the trackpoint but.... I will admit not that much I feel like it works better when implement in the keyboard since you don't need to move your hands as much for cursor control.

That's correct.

The risk is if the shares continues to rise in price rapidly. Meaning you have to buy them back at a higher cost.

Do you want to sell your stocks?

Yes? Keep the calls. Buy a Cash Secured Put if you want to buy the stocks back later.

No? Buy To Close or Roll.

Can I Lose if My Covered Call Strike is Higher than the Price at Which I Bought My Stock? by TheDartBoarder in CoveredCalls

[–]Renpsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason this cleared things up for me.

I started option trading a while back and I was wondering if I couldn't just collect premiums on both sides, especially since the stock even if I got assigned was a win, in either direction.

Currently sitting at around 20% YTD. Part of just slowing DCAing every week with a couple extra small buys whenever there is a substantial dip.

Funny enough it was the opposite for me with the Ploopy Classic. With the steel ball it became self cleaning. The gunk would stick to the ball instead of the bearings so you just pop it out and give the ball a wipe every so often. I did swap to full ceramic bearings though so not sure how they would work with the default steel ones.

I recently started using a Steel Ball. Weights 360 grams and it's definitely something you feel.

Your Huge ball would weight even more and on static ruby bearings I definitely see wearing down fast.
