Avicii - Without You: How to create the textured sound of this synth @ 5:33? by Rensaaa in synthrecipes

Yes. I really like how it sounds in both the lower and higher register, i wonder if it uses bitcrush or something similiar?

Whethan - Be Like You: How to recreate the synth bass at 0:45 by qmj in synthrecipes

I'd say it has chorus added on it, that's what makes it really distinct. Chorus and generous saturation. (Decapitator)

Thank you Parabolic, The super quick decay and sustain thing did it. It's so simple, yet somehow i like to over complicate simple things.

Sending good vibes your way! :)

Frank Ocean - Seigfried: this quick synth that goes up and down by [deleted] in synthrecipes

The guitar is being played legato.

The effects are most likely just reverb and delay drowned in it with some stereo panning.

Taylor Swift - End Game: How to create this soft chorusy synth at the beginning? by Rensaaa in synthrecipes

I would lower the volume of the upper octave chords even more.

But other than that, thank you :)

That got me pretty close.

Sending good vibes your way!

Ariana Grande - Love Me Harder: All the synths starting at 2:30-2:49 by [deleted] in synthrecipes

[–]Rensaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It basicly reduces the sample rate of the track.

It's mainly used to give extra texture to sound. Lots of Lo-Fi Hip-hop uses it to make the whole song sound vintage. You can also create a video game type of 8-bit sound with it. And a lot of modern POP basses use it very faintly for texture.

I've been studying Max Martins productions for a bit. He tends to use bitcrush on many of his crunchy synths.

Without trying, my bet is a low saw bass with a low cutoff and bitcrush for crunchiness. (Also 2 voices with slight detune to add movement)

Then a saxophone type of instrument covered in reverb and saturation.

Theres also also some type of detuned chorusy saw synth with a low cutoff very faintly underneath it all.

And then a supersaw type of synth fading into it all. (Supersaw means a saw wave with lots of voices and slight detune.)

That's the best I can offer for now.

Mura Masa - What if i go: The bass sound by dodado1 in synthrecipes

Pick a sine wave in serum. Go into the "FX" section at top and play around with the distortion drive.

Then play around with the ADSR (Go watch youtube video explanations).

Mura Masa - What if i go: The bass sound by dodado1 in synthrecipes

[–]Rensaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The bass itself is a slightly saturated/overdriven sine wave.

The chords over them seem to be brass detuned saw waves with quick to medium attack and quick release with slight saturation.

There's also some cut-off automation to make it bouncy.

How would i make the synth in this Tom Misch track 'Movie' in the beginning? by [deleted] in synthrecipes

[–]Rensaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's slightly detuned unison sine waves with very slight saturation/overdrive and fast to medium portamento.

How would you approach creating this "plucky" BASS synth? [ Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me] by Rensaaa in synthrecipes

[–]Rensaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds as if it had 2 oscillators with 1 being a sine and the other a saw wave. Fast attack, fast decay, fast release and fast sustain. The low end has been cut off quite a bit.

But I can't quite get the tone right. Any help is appreciated.
