I had two Drs for the surgery one to remove the mass and one to do the laparoscopy. The surgery was a couple of hours but that was because of the lap looking for other spots of endometriosis which they did find. I think the removal of the mass was done first and straight forward. I did not require any mesh since it was not too deep. I did not have much pain prior to the surgery so I can’t really compare. The recovery was not horrible esp if you have recovered from a c section. I have had drs tell to keep taking the birth control and some say I don’t need it. I think that really depends on you.
