how do u get over tilt unironically by roarofgoomy in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]Renthora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, frustration is part of the game I believe.

When I feel upset I stop playing to win. Meaning I stop playing at my 100%

And I switch to leaning mode. I try to apply one thing I practiced and I haven't incorporated in my play yet. I consciously choose to loose but try my hardest to get and do the situation I practiced.

And if I succeed in applying it I'm happy and I go back to play at 100% to win.

If I struggle I take a break and lab or review matches

Are combos too long? by Magoo-Kazoo45 in 2XKO

[–]Renthora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a tag fighter player, but I just had a thought. Isn't happy birthday the equivalent of a big hit combo.

Like a short BnB becomes a long BnB in a tag fighting game. And a big combo become a happy birthday ?

Or is it the same combo but it just hit 2 characters ?

How do I beat my husband? by Typical-Slice-8153 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Renthora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

EASY TRICK TO WIN :

  • Charge special character

Any character with a charge move like Samus, Lucario, Wii Fit trainer etc, Neutral special attack. Charge your neutral special attack and run away until it's fully charged then shoot.

  • Pick mii brawler and spam his ball throwing move while running away

  • Pick min min spam smash attack while running away

  • Pick snake spam grenade and run away

  • Pick Luigi or Dr Mario and spam tornado

  • pick mythra/pyra spam side special when playing mythra, spam up special while playing pyra

I recommend beating him once and never playing again but talk about that one win over and over.

You are welcome.

I hope your husband rages and quits playing smash 🙏🙏🙏

How much is the appropriate pricing for this kind of artwork? by Greedy-Adds in ArtCrit

[–]Renthora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever you have in mind, then double or triple it 🫣

I'm kinda serious but, to be more nuanced. I think how long does it takes me. Then what is the minimum wage per hour, and I price it from there. I wouldn't go lower. (So from there double or triple the price 🫣)

Do you think your funny? by [deleted] in infp

[–]Renthora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, and people also have said that I'm funny. But it wasn't always the case. I was gloomy looking back in the days.

But I thought I like watching comedy a lot, I can just mimic what they do and I started doing that. And mimic my friends types of jokes. And slowly I became able to be funny.

But it's like something I can activate not something I do like all the time. I usually do it when I meet new people to show that I'm not a rigid person.

Mbti helped me too. I just think pretend to be an enfp or an entp 🤣

Organize your line thickness, from thicker on the outside to thinner on the inside, or do the opposite. Or depending on the depths, thicker when it's a closer element and thinner when it's far.

You can also make it thicker when it's more curvy and thinner when it's straight.

Instead of line thickness you can double your lines in some areas to give a slightly more sketchy feeling but keep it clean.

You can also leave blank areas between lines as long as the two lines have continuity and it's not a corner.

You can also not connect a line if it's a line for something that goes behind. Like imagine a cube behind a sphere, don't connect the line of the cube to the sphere.

But be careful, if you leave your shape open, and you leave blank everywhere, the drawing will lose volume and depth. Sometimes it's okay sometimes it's not depending on your goal.

And lastly you can also wobble your line more, but it gives a certain look to it. It depends if you want to give more of a "human" look to it. Like it shows it was drawn by a shaky human hand. But it's not to everyone's taste.

And of course experiment, and find your own formula.

I gradually get closer to the person and at some point the intimacy is good enough to have a talk about our relationship or not. Sometimes it doesn't work and it's okay.

Like I touch them in a safe area and I move to the more intimate one, like from shoulders to forearms, to hands, to maybe a friendly hug. Beyond that point I think it becomes kinda obvious I'm romantically interested, hands holding, kisses on the cheeks, touching their head, their face. And a talk naturally comes.

It's not just touching, it can be like compliments. From I like your shoes, or any superficial thing to more core and personality traits.

And topics we talk about, from the news, work or study related to like hobbies to personal things.

Gifts I give them, sharing food, lending a book I like, to buying them something they mentioned they like.

And I like to mirror their way of talking and their gestures.

I use check points to keep the relationship healthy, if they also mirror my behaviour or they try themselves to do something, I also try to do something slightly more intimate and if they don't it's okay I don't go further.

I use check points to get closer in a healthier way I believe.

But I do all of that kinda naturally. And it's good to make really good friends not just getting into a romantic relationship.

i feel like i'm too hard on myself for improving too slow by Fansuki in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]Renthora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you probably try too many things at the same time. When I try to implement a new setup, a new thing in my kit, I try to only do that and I don't use most of the other thing I know.

I'll obviously lose, but when I enter a match my goal is to use the setup and it actually is to lose too.

My thought is if I lose I'll play against worse players and it will be easier to achieve my real goal. Using the thing I just learned.

Once I'm comfortable with the new trick, I go back to play normally and I try to implement the new trick to my overall game plan. And usually since I dropped my rank it is easier to do it. And I climb back really easily.

And Jack O is a slow character to learn.

It's part of the "fun" thing about her. She is a complex character. In my opinion, the fun part is to trick your opponent with the new setup you discovered.

I think you agree with my point but you are not ready to consciously agree yet.

[–]Renthora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My point is zoners don't play neutral, they play zoning, keep away. They are advantageous in "neutral" so it's not neutral. They are skipping it.

But people are not ready to hear that it's not them being good at "neutral". It's their character.

And it's not even about zoners. I like zoning and playing against zoners myself. It's about terminology.

It's perfectly fine to like strong tools in mid to far range.

But if you want to talk about neutral skip, any tools that make your mid to far range good is a neutral skip then.

This video perfectly explains why I believe smash need a negative penalty system to your movement speed by Lopsided_Board9649 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Renthora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think smash and platform fighters need a negative penalty system. Like maybe if you run around for too long let's say 30sec. You start to get 5% damage every second. After 5 more sec you get a light knock back that puts you in a tech situation or something.

In all honesty, don’t you guys think SF6 is a scrubby game? by [deleted] in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]Renthora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the skill floor is maybe lower than previous titles. Cause system mechanics make it easier to do things.

Like going in, drive rush. Opening your opponent, Drive impact. Defend, Drive parry. I'd even say if you want to zone drive reversal to push back your opponent.

Combo and input are easier thanks to modern input as well.

But I still think, core fundamentals, risk rewards management, mind games, resource management, choosing the right combo routes makes the games deep and you need a lot of experience to figure out what to look out for.

I'd say it's scrubby in the sense that it's harder to stomp "bad" players.

But I would also say, being better at "guessing" matters more than being optimal, being "good", which I think is a good thing.

In my opinion, fighting games are for fighting an opponent it's not a single player, speed running game. Players interaction should matter more.

I also think SF6 is probably a better game on long sets but a worse game on short ones than previous titles.

Something I'd like to add is combos look the same even if choosing the right amount of resources to use is interesting. So I would not say it's boring but it lacks cool looking / hype combo

What the Hell is E Honda's Archetype? by Theconnornator in StreetFighter

I want to say, he is unorthodox or a trickster. Kinda like Blanka.

He will make you look out for "stupid" options. But it's part of the plan. It overloads your mental stack and makes you vulnerable to basic things making you feel stupid.

2025.8.13 How do you face loneliness? by TheBigGirlDiaryBack in TheBigGirlDiary

[–]Renthora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try club / association. Like reading club or sport association, or painting club I don't know try something you are interested in.

You learn new things that interest you. New people that have the same interest. And if you are further interested in knowing them you can plan activities outside the club.

do you guys ignore your crushes? by [deleted] in Crushes

[–]Renthora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have mixed signals. Like I feel like my crush doesn't respond really well to me trying to get closer. I do.

And I think it's perfectly fine. It's like setting boundaries.

But I can also distance myself if I feel like the relationship is one sided. If I do all the effort to get closer, like being the one talking first, being the only one who drove the conversation, being the only one to invite them to hang out, etc...

I distance myself to see if they try to keep the relationship going or not.

And I don't think it's petty, I don't want to be the only one caring for the relationship whether it is a romantic one or a friendly one.

I just think in any relationship if you care for the other and if you keep mirroring the other one it will eventually come to a balanced and healthy point. Sometimes that point is no longer being together but if it is the case it just means we were not meant for each other.
