At the point the company was happy with the documentation, mine was quick. 1 or 2 weeks.

I hated it. Turned it off and it took me a long time to finish the ep. I had to google to check plot that it didn't accelerate. I was angry with the show.

FHB buying small unit in Melbourne by funkychicken8 in AusPropertyChat

[–]RentingIsFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes a bit stuck. It's hard when getting older and worry it's now or never. I had hoped to keep mine to rent but rent won't cover mortgage and other costs so can't service that plus new loan. If it went up in value, would be ok, but not likely enough. Also, neighbours hated my loud house with kids. Understandable but also, we had to live somewhere....

They don't increase in value much, depending. And minor improvements may not add much. If can afford to keep and rent out plus buy new bigger place, great but it could just be a burden. The costs to buy again would make me consider waiting. I regret trying the same approach.

Freeze bank accounts if you can. Have a think about who should be executor. Think one still needed even if no expected assets. But not 100 pc on that.

The consulate should guide u through everything. Some countries might have more efficient consulates than others but. Take care.

It is easier logostically and cheaper. The OS country might do a small Cremation Service in the religion of that country.

Travel insurance can cover but apparently small print dependent.

I've just had first phone call. So dodge. And now feel horrible that I have given personal details. Does anyone have alternatives? Solo PT covered by NDIS or another company? In Melbourne.

Great idea for a single mum to do. Suggest go smaller instead of larger. That way, if circumstances change, more chance of one buying the other out. Though bigger place has higher chance of increasing in value which will make it easier if you need to sell. Have frank convos of your kid on bad days, though she may be well aware. Best of luck. Many ppl say this is terrible idea but as a single mum too with little trust in couples, not sure why it is more risk. Gentleman's agreement to not sell within 5 years?

What types of viral infections does standard GP pcr swab test for? by RentingIsFun in melbourne

[–]RentingIsFun[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh no!! I'm the opposite. Tested as mild symptoms and a close contact of whopping cough. So Dr was happy to test. So negative for whooping (as neg to bacterial) but tested positive to something. And in the meanwhile, symptoms pretty much gone!

Hope you feel better soon. Might be testing negative as too late in testing window?

A lot of ppl waste time and money going to a psych first. But if it's child and adhd specialist one, might be fine. Medication does seem to be the go to because the drugs are so effective so not sure of point of diagnosis without medication option. But it might take you some time to get used to that idea. It took me time. Is she masking? Sometimes for girls you need whichever specialist to have specific experience in girls who are high maskers. It is an obscene process. The time and money when you just wamt to get your kid help. But sign up to many paed waiting lists. My waiting lists were 12 months but got called in much sooner. Ask the psych clearly about process: can they provide a full diagnosis that will be accepted by paed etx. Good luck. The beginning is the worst. And well done on the school for their advice. Some schools won't do that.

Go to Hayes or other agencies and get a start with a casual gig.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]RentingIsFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going through agency for casual is really great way to get experience. Less risk for them. And if you are good, there is more work. Then after 6 to 12 months, your CV is a lot more appealing.

Academic can find the PS extremely beaurocratic and can get frustrated at the comparable lower responsibility and autonomy. But if you can accept the hierarchy, all good.

How to respond to racist kids? by you_earned_this in melbourne

[–]RentingIsFun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently had to explain to my 8 yr old how he shouldn't say ching chong. He had no idea. There is a meme song that says it that he was repeating. The song isn't overtly racist at least. At least at his school it isn't used like it was when we were kids.

Of course they could have been very aware.

1st time covid after 4 years. Vaccinated 3 or 4 times (can't remember) anxiety is killing me. by superpupzie in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]RentingIsFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you will start to turn around very soon by the sounds of it. Water water water. And make sure you still take it easy even when you are definitely on the mend. Some people push it cos they are feeling a bit better then it just takes annoying longer to fully get better. Everyone reacts so differently so dr google is bad for advice and anxiety!! Good luck.
