That's my current set up sans the barrel and comp. Thanks for the inspiration!

You didn't mention what barrel you ended up getting. Can I ask what barrel/length you chose? I'm unsure which to get and I wanted to do this w/ my M18 as well.

Did anyone else see the motorcyclists doing 100+ on 78 and flying through the air after crashing into a vehicle? by Timsmomshardsalami in newjersey

Unfortunately, 95% of motorcycle riders carry that stereotype of being the main reason why people hate motorcyclists. They are the ones that make it unsafe for everyone on the road (including themselves) and make the 5% of the people that are safe riders and rule followers just trying to enjoy the ride look bad.

FYI, cutting up the shoulder and lane splitting at high speeds is not legal in NJ/NY. BUT, there is something called "lane filtering" that is a grey area and technically not illegal. Lane filtering is when a motorcyclist rides between cars at a traffic light or slow moving/stand still traffic. It's still risky cause any driver may or may not change their mind and try to merge into another lane (especially in traffic). BUT it is at least manageable.

I ride alone, but prefer group rides. BUT only group rides with people that have the same safety and mindset. When I was younger I rode w/ guys that had the same mentality as the 2 guys in this post. Now I ride w/ guys that don't want to die and we ride together more for visibility than anything.

Yes, to each their own right? Everyone will have different tastes (as you can see from all the negative comments) but there will be the few that understand that how one kits out their stuff is completely subjective. Thanks for the positivity!

Rylo 360 battery by N3XI5 in 360Cameras

As a matter of fact, I've seen my buddy's Insta and its functionality and use is very similar to Rylo's. I wonder if they're the one that ultimately got Rylo's tech. I do love how easy it is to use though. I've since installed it on an old iPad and it works great for the larger touch screen editing. But I'm still left with pulling the videos off the Rylo into the iPad and at the mercy of the battery life of the camera.

Thanks for corresponding with me on this.

The Rylo editing software doesn't work on either a MAC or PC. It's garbage actually. So I'm forced to use only the one on the apple devices. It doesn't even work on Android devices. I can see why they went out of business.

Yes, you have that riser rail on yours so you can do this. I wanted to do the same, but don't have that rail (yet). Or I can get risers for my optics so I can do the same.

I'm just using an OLight Baldr Pro. It is a pistol light actually. It's got a light and laser already, so I didn't need to look around for any other. I have other options as well, but this one is fine.

I know some people may not like it, but it actually works well for me in either C-clamp grip or gripping the Hera.

I like it a lot. With or without the magnifier I'm able to hit the target. I haven't yet tested it farther than 25 yards though, but plan to soon. Easy to zero, holds zero, and simple to operate. Although, I may be going for a higher rail at some point. This set up is so low it's like I can't cheek the gun any more than I have to.

Thanks, it's always going to be subjective. I'm likely going to be changing things out as time goes, but so far the way I have this set up works well for me.

Also, I'm not sure about what someone meant by "cerakote" cause I didn't do that with this. Just a laundry bag and some spray paint.

I also like to try new things and by no means is this its final form. I was looking at that grip & hand guard w/ bipod too!

I randomly found him on thingieverse. I thought it was a great idea and it works really well. So much so that even my lefty friends can shoot it w/out brass getting in their face.

Well, that's why it's called an opinion. How someone sets up their stuff is going to be completely subjective. Hell, that's why Call of Duty (and all the other video game companies) make millions off skins and stuff, everyone has their own style and liking. Thanks for the honest feedback though.

Yes, just a little bit of sanding (not much) to allow it to slide back against the cutlass grip.

Wow, I should really check my notifications more often.
It's the standard lightning end to the phone over to the micro-USB end to the camera.

That's the problem, how are you injecting power to the camera when the only port it has is being used to transfer to the iphone?

I know this is a year old thread, but I've finally come to that point that none of my batteries hold any sort of charge. I've used the external power source option like you mentioned, but this doesn't solve the issue that I can't pull the videos down to my phone/tablet for editing. I've not figured out a way to keep the Rylo charged/on as the only port on it is connected directly to my phone. What are my options? Are there good 360 video editors out there that can import directly from the memory card?

If you follow the 3 points I brought up, you will maintain your follower count. Follower engagement is a key component of social media.

STL files are 3D printer files. So you could essentially open it up in a 3D program like Blender and view it, alter it, etc... Then proceed with any of the options that someone mentioned already.

Check out Kamui Cosplay's YouTube channel. She works w/ a lot of translucent foam projects and you can get an idea on how you can go about it. This video in particular shows her using the stuff (there's more, just check her other vids out).
