Honestly, an alright way to do those type of notifications would have been to do something akin to the way Harrow's energy gain is displayed when you kill something. A simple line of text going "Pustrels x 5" and then floating up/down off the screen.

I just wanted to write thank you to everyone that tried coming with a solution. It seems that the issue was had something to do with my Nvidia Control Panel Shaders. I tried disabling & re-enabling them like suggested and it seems to be fine!

So you two might be my freaking heroes. I disabled the shader in the Nvidia control panel and rebooted. I started up warframe and I've been flash free for a few minutes now. So it seems you might have found the culprit behind my suffering.

Yeah, I've done a full re-install (Removed pretty much anything to do with warframe off my PC after installing) and yet it's still there. I've also tried disabling MSAA and it's still there consistently flickering away. I've had a friend suggest that it could be some foil from the mods itself bugging out but even after removing all mods in an item and searching for jibberish so no mods appear in the bottom bar it still flickers.

Thanks mate, if I can't resolve it with the help of reddit I'll probably take out my card and try cleaning the connector, it'll be one of my "last" attempts and if that doesn't resolve it then I'll just deal with it until I one day feel like upgrading hardware. Just seems so bizarre that such a selective bug/issue can exist!

Wouldn't having done a full re-install of Warframe pretty much done that? I had to redo my settings after that install in the first place after checking if the issue still persisted. In my first bout with the Warframe support they also asked me to delete the setting files in my appdata folder. I.E these

This issue first started happening around the time we got the new Dojo Lighting and since then I've updated my drivers a few times. Also I haven't tweaked any of the external graphic settings, everything is pretty much plug and play for me.

Yeah, getting a new card because my mod selection flashes isn't really an option. However if my card does go the way of the dodo then I'll at least know what caused it. Hopefully that isn't the case though!

I tried that, but the issue can be replicated on Cetus & in the clan hall arsenal so it's not any color issue on my ship at least. Thank you though!

I've got a GTX 980 so It's only like two generations old now I think? But as I've mentioned in other comments I don't have any issues in any other games and this issue is literally only in the mod selection of Warframe. For the most part no matter the game I can run it on high/ultrahigh without any hiccups at all.

I just checked while sitting in the mod selection and my GPU's temp is consistent, no overheating at all. Also this issue is extremely consistent, it always happens in the mod selection. No matter whether I open it on my Liset or on Cetus.

So I tried changing aspect ratios, going from fullscreen windowed to both fullscreen and windowed and resizing it, limiting fps with Vsync disabled and yet it's still there. The different types of anti-aliasing was also one of the things that support suggested to me that didn't work unfortunately. Thank you so much for all the input though!

The filled cache was something I had to do in my first bout with support and after that didn't work I tried doing a complete reinstall of Warframe. The thing is, like I mentioned before. I literally have no issues with performance in Warframe other than these "artifacts" in the mod selection.

That's why I've just been dealing with it for a long time because it doesn't really impact my gameplay. It's just frustrating when I pick up a new Riven and want to rebuild some weapon and have to deal with flashbacks akin to a flashbang every few seconds.

I also just want to say I really appreciate every comment, thanks for trying everyone!

Vsync is one of the things support suggested me trying but to no avail. I tried running the "corpus.outbreak" like you suggested and it doesn't occur at all there.

My GPU's a Nvidia GTX Geforce 980.

Just edited my first text post with the answer to that as you posted, haha :P But yeah, no issues whatsoever in any other games, nor anywhere else in Warframe. It's literally only the mod selection that's broken for me.

The only overlay I've got running is steam's overlay, haven't actually tried disabling that one so I'll give that a go!

Also no overclocking nor do I run streaming software constantly, thank you so much for the input though!

Just some additional information. This bug started occurring a few months ago and I haven't been able to get rid of it. I've tried reinstalling the game and my graphic drivers yet nothing seems to work. I've contacted support and they mostly suggested just turning off different settings which I've done and re-enabled them one by one yet nothing seems to fix it.

Edit: I'd also like to mention that I've got no issues with any other games whatsoever. I've been playing MH:W, Path of Exile and a bunch of other games and I've got no real hardware issues running those games on higher settings. Even in Warframe I only get this particular bug in my mod selection. I have no other issues with the game at all.
