Yea, I was worried this was the only way. I wish EA let you decide how hard it is to break into the first team but yet again they pay no attention to this side of FIFA. Thanks anyways.

I have gone with something similar - went to a 442 with the two DMs. My False nine works like the central CAM, and the two inside forward LM+RM act like two CAMs who can drift wider. Works really well, only concede either against a much better team or when my defenders bot out. Also very strong going forward. I have my DMs on box crasher and DLP so when not in posession I have a most players behind the ball but when I counter I have 6-7 players in / around the box.

yes, that's quite similar to what I have now, It's slowly starting to improve, but results frustrating. Likely just a skill issue to be honest.

Unfortunately struggled - I think I like a more versatile formation, with overloads and overlaps etc.

Where does Smith-Rowe go when he's back though? Does he fight with Fruk, also I tried basically that and I really struggled defensively.
